Has anyone failed the NCLEX with the computer stopping at 75?

Yesterday I took the NCLEX and it was the weirdest test. The content and the material they were questioning me on had nothing of what I studied for or learned in nursing school. I did Kaplan, Uworld and countless questions online before going in for my test, but non of it was helpful I feel like. Did I get lucky and guess 90% of the test or could I have failed with 75 questions. All my friends are telling me I probably passed, but I am stressing big time. Can anyone shed some light on my fears? Thank you all.

At 1 am you have nothing better to do than wonder about someone elses fate. I failed again. Or in your encouraging words, "Failed it good". My family supports me,my fiance supports me, I'm still pretty, and last I checked still alive. I will pass eventually. No I did not cheat my way through nursing school like the above commentor suggested, and no I did not cry after realizing I did not pass. I woke up to get a drink, saw the email alert, and of course a comment from A nurse who should be encouraging others, instead the opposite. To the others that may or may not have passed the nclex with 75 questions failing is not the end all be all. You will pass eventually, and in our profession will encounter nurses who will chew you up and spit you out, kind of like what we encounter on allnurses from some of the long time members. Hold your head high! Delayed DOES NOT mean denied. The lord takes care of the little birds, surely he will take care of you and I. My skin is tough enough to take the ridicule and underhanded shade from some of the members on here. Thank you for preparing me for the world of nursing. I'm a small piece of leather but well put together. I can handle it. I will not comment after this because I do have other things to do like study so no response from you maverick is needed. The level of shade on Allnurses is admirable lol.I honestly don't think I could openly tear others down, or support people who do it with no shame. But then again this is the internet. You got your answer.I don't know about anyone else but I failed it good lmbo. I'm sure you will sleep easy knowing that. In closing I Hope your day is awesome. Now back to my beauty sleep.

I went in thinking if I got stopped at 75 I would know I passed because there would be no way after just graduating with honors that I would fail at 75. Well I got cut off at 75 and thought I did indeed fail, I felt like I didn't know about any of the stuff they asked! I passed though

At the risk of triggering another lengthy, self-righteous reponse, I'll just point out that the TOS of the site specify that you're not allowed to use titles like "Nurse" in your username that you don't legitimately hold, so, if you haven't passed the NCLEX and gotten licensed (as you indicate you haven't), you aren't supposed to have "Nurse" in your username (unless you are already an LPN, maybe?)

Best wishes on your next retake.

My post could be as long as ever, and someone will still read it in its entirety trust me.Thank you for telling me something at least 10 others have pointed out.You all take this site wayyyy too serious my God lol. Yes I have been a practicing LPN since 2012, thank you for the best wishes. Is there anything else I should know about how to conduct myself amongst the elite of allnurses? I used to love this site. Now It's great entertainment. How I wish I could see the posters in real life. Probably not much to look at,which explains all of the hate on here. This is a place of significance for some. I get that. My posts are lengthy because most of you all are hilarious. Your "compliments" can never be just that. Your "well wishes" never just that. Hypocrytical and anal to say the least. Bursting at the seams with shade. This site is like high school. The "You Can't Sit With Us" vibe instead of genuine empathy and sympathy for fellow nurse students, grad nurses, new nurses, etc. Luckily for me I don't want to lol. Trust me when I do tackle the Nclex, I won't be that RN who's better than newer nurses, lpns,or the cnas. How easily we forget. Every last one of us were once nursing students who had to face the dreaded Nclex. Stop acting holier than thou my God. We all know how some form of defeat feels whether it was a test in school, a tough clinical, etc. Instead of being so caught up on explaining rules and regulations on the site, would you be so kind as to give me pointers on passing the Nclex RN? I would respect and appreciate that more.

Settle down. Your posts on this thread are a lot more hateful than any preceding them.

In reading posts from nurses who had to take the NCLEX multiple times, it seems that the only clear path to passing it is just practice, practice, practice. I think LPNs or others with extensive health care experience have a disadvantage because they often answer questions based on what they have seen in the field. You have to think like a test question developer. What do you think they WANT you to say vs. what you might have observed other RNs doing in practice? Early on in nursing school, I started answering questions the way I thought the professors WANTED me to answer, vs. what I actually thought might be the actual answer. And over time, I realized why they were writing the questions the way they did. It really does often come down to "several of these are correct, but which one is the BEST answer"?

Just keep at it and you will eventually get there.

I am far from hateful. Not even close. I just call it like I see it. Thank you for the insight. Practicing until I get it is what I plan to do.

Nursebaddie, I agree with you - this site CAN be like high school sometimes. Now, back to the important stuff... Tell us again how pretty you are and how the posters here are "probably not much to look at."

Ugh. I hate to come off as a stuck up, spoiled little brat. I feel so defeated coming on here most of the time, that is the only line of defense I feel I have. At least that's something I know to be true. And no its not so nice insinuating others may not be much to look at. I guess it makes me feel better after feeling picked on all the time. For the record I haven't had my coffee yet so I resemble a cute little gremlin right now(if there is such a thing). And I admit you have proven your point. I guess my rant is very high schoolish lmbo. The senior members just make me so mad sometimes lol. I'm gone:ninja:

Well, apparently you won't find them here. We're not much to look at. I prefer my nurses competent, but that's me. 😳
