Has anyone taken any classes from Western Governors University, the RN to BSN program? It looks like a great program, but the classes are not your typical pay per class style. They go by a 6 month period, you pay a fee for that period and can take or test out of as many classes as you would like.
I also like the fact that when I told them I could not start until the fall of 2010 they kept my name and information on file and update me once a month, but are not pushing. I filled out a form for info on another college 2 days ago and they haven't stopped calling, calling, calling since. I do not like the pressure tactics. Thank you.
Now I find out after my transcript eval that I still have to take 49 more credits with them and thats including my 2 A.A.S. degrees I have, one in nursing and one in veterinary science .Aspen for example , doesn't require stats or chem and automatically gives 40 credits for current nursing license . They don't accept financial aide though otherwise Id sign up

Aspen also doesn't have regional accreditation - and part of that is probably because they don't require all the credits needed for an accredited degree.
I had to do 50 CU and still managed it in just over three months - that's probably not possible anymore, but it can definitely be done more quickly than you'd think..
You can also appeal any classes you think you have already completed.

I found a Behavioral Science program that is one night a week... I don't love classroom time but it is non stressful and I happen to love behavioral science... My friend did it... Should take a little over a year. I can then go get my masters in MFT... I really want to be a therapist... I will always keep my RN license, but I am wanting to do something a little different.
