Watched celebrations on TV. Tonight on the evening news there was a story about how things are just as bad today in Ireland as everywhere else after the boom years there. Really didn't need to hear anything negative today. Some day would like to visit the Emerald Isle. Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

I think St Patrick's day is celebrated more in the US than it is in most of the UK. I didn't even realise it was St Patrick's day today.
Happy St Patrick's day to our Irish members

yeah i was on a long day it was poor as i say.
thats why i went out driniking on the saturday
you'd think the irish nurse would have st paddys off
Next year call in sick!
still getting the six nations with a grand slam and tri countries will do very nicely
what a frustrating final few minutes we were soooo close
Uhh, soccer I presume? Please explain. St. Patrick's was just a few days past, and I already wish it was around again. For once I'd like to be able to enjoy the day.
No Rugby the 6 nations is a competition between England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Italy and France. It is the ONLY sporting event worth watching and the Ireland / Wales game was a deciding game for the "triple crown" as Wales and Ireland had both beaten Scotland and England therefore for the UK countries a very important match. There is a great deal of good natured competition between the UK nations so this one was important.
I'm truly gutted that we lost the final try was within the dying minutes of the game, and it was that try that took Ireland into the lead.
Well done Ireland

Tried to find something over here for DH to watch on the 6 nations but with no luck. Saying that he managed to watch Liverpool play yesterday (football/soccer)
