Take a look at what actually is in the Health Care bill. Obama makes disingenuous comments like "You'll still keep your doctor" or "You'll keep your existing health care." He is either lying to us or he has no idea what is in it. Take a peek at the full report , or look at some of the highlights here:
Pg 22 of the HC Bill mandates the Government will audit books of all employers that self insure. Can you imagine what that will do to small businesses? Every one will abandon “self insurance ” and go on Government insurance. So when Obama says that there will still be private health care, it’s simply a lie: this mandate will force employers to abandon their private plans.
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. Stalinist Russia????? Oh, pleeeeeease. They're trying to combat some of the misinformation and negative propoganda floating around out there about the reform proposals. How upset were you when the Shrub administration was operating a widespread, illegal program of monitoring Americans' telephone conversations and emails?

insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.
no exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays
insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.
no cost-sharing for preventive care
insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics.
no dropping of coverage for seriously ill
insurance companies will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.
no gender discrimination
insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more because of your gender.
no annual or lifetime caps on coverage
insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive.
extended coverage for young adults
children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26.
guaranteed insurance renewal
insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. insurance companies won't be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick."
of course there are some good points to the bill..........................the question is does the good outway the bad????
in my opinion, i love all of these you have listed, but they are quickly 'thrown to the side' when reading the 'bad' parts of the health care bill. (committe decides what benefits/trmt pt receives, rationed healthcare, physican services through medicaid to be cut (even more), gov't has access to your bank accts, restricted enrollment of special needs pt's, several stipulations on end of life care.............must i go on...........)
it would be great to be able to come to a happy medium, but remember............................this is politics.

Actually, I didn't have much of a problem, if it helps get catch terrorists. We are at war, you know.

Now there's the rub , can any evidence be provided to show that the program was sucesful .Before you say it ,the lack of any other attacks is not proof , of the sucess of this program . Other countries have been victims of terrorism , they have not used these tactics and have been as sucessful as us , at stopping further attacks .
As to being at war , in all honesty I have hardly noticed ,If you look back to how our countries had to change during previous wars , we have done hardly anything .

The thing that bothers me the most is the narrowed group of persons who will be deciding what is best for the majority. They say one thing then do another, comments made by key people degrading the value of the disabled and chronically ill really sound nazi-ish, and why does the government feel the need for a website to "turn in the misinformed and squeal on them"?????? I feel a significant injustice coming about!

The significant injustice is that their audience believes the lies/scaremongering they peddle as "news" when it is nothing more than propaganda
