Look Here to See What’s in the Health Care Bill: CHILLING!
http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/id.3815/pub_detail.aspTake a look at what actually is in the Health Care bill. Obama makes disingenuous comments like "You'll still keep your doctor" or "You'll keep your existing health care." He is either lying to us or he has no idea what is in it. Take a peek at the full report , or look at some of the highlights here:
Pg 22 of the HC Bill mandates the Government will audit books of all employers that self insure. Can you imagine what that will do to small businesses? Every one will abandon “self insurance ” and go on Government insurance. So when Obama says that there will still be private health care, it’s simply a lie: this mandate will force employers to abandon their private plans.
Nope I mean the governemtn. Since I cant stand the people you mentioned I dont care what they say. When it is quoted in many major newspapers form Obama's people then is it propaganda??????
It may well be, that it is why I try to fact check as much as possible on websites like
What I'm trying to do as I write and speak out against the insurance industry I was a part of for nearly two decades is to inform Americans that when they hear isolated stories of long waiting times to see doctors in Canada and allegations that care in other systems is rationed by "government bureaucrats," someone associated with the insurance industry wrote the original script.
Where are all the Insurance Companies that make all the profits?
Do you know that Health Insurance Companies pay around $1.25 to $1.40 vs a Medicare Bill. Do you know that Medcaid pays pennies, in my home state we get one rate around $4K for an appendectomy to bone marrow transplant that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars?
The companies I reviewed United, Aetna, and Tenet all made percentage wise an much lower profit than any other business and they pay taxes.
Also for what I have been hearing and reading there are numerous bills, 3 senate and 2 congressional.
What is concerning for me, what I have heard the President speak, one issue is the cancellation of insurance once a person files a claim, I agree that is wrong, but it is only by his numbers, "20,000 over a couple of years" which is 0.005% of the insured to me does require radical reform.
The president also mentioned that a surgeon can bill 3 times for surgery that went wrong, this is also incorrect. A surgeon is paid a global fee and insurance companies often bridge these admission so insurance companies pay once.
I had the displeasure of buying a car during the cash of clunkers program, I did not have a clunker but a normal transaction which talks an hour was stretch to days due to this program. If the government can't handle a small program like this how are they going to do health care ?

Canada's Health System Imploding.

I've seen both sides of the arguments and I've seen through the lies and misinformation spread over the bill. I've spent hours pouring over the wording trying to interpret the legislation language within it and I have to say I support it, but if we allowed to GOP to whine and scream like children and get the public option removed, we'd do the American public a huge disservice and wouldn't really accomplish the whole goal of healthcare reform.
I'm not the only one who feels this way: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/21/mcauliffe-comes-out-swing_n_265307.html
Republicans can stop nothing so it is Democratic infighting that is the problem. And please the Huffington post as a reference.
