... my resident eating her own poop.
The first time I witnessed that in my short cna career. It was all over her face, her hair, bedsheets, nightgown, diaper and left hand. She was sucking her fingers like she had just finshed eating some fried chicken.
Can you imagine living in a world where you strongly believe that you poop out chocolate??
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, delicioso!!!!!

And she saves some for later by storing it in and on the top drawer of her bedside stand.

I dont understand the point of your thread, other than to make fun of this poor woman.
How sad.

It shocked her. It isn't every day that you see someone eating their own poop (unless you're a CNA). It was her first time. She's not making fun of her, she's just freaked out. I don't understand when people try to police the forum like this. What is the harm in talking about this stuff?
Wow....I don't see the harm in it either...guess I know now not to post stories here about the strange things
that happen when your a CNA!!!!!
That is hilarious!
Thank you! I'm happy someone out there understands.

Oh my. I can't even imagine. I did have a patient one time during psych rotation who pooped in cups and kept them under her sink bc she beloved they were her children. But eating it is pretty gross and is gonna make her really sick
Hoping she won't get too sick, I cleaned out her mouth and reported the incident to the nurse. Reserving poop-filled cups takes it to a whole new level. That lady's hard-core.
