GTCC Fall 2015 ADN

U.S.A. North Carolina

Is anyone applying for the Fall 2015 GTCC nursing program? The deadline for applications is February 10, 2015...only 14 days away!

I got in. Now I have to wait for Forsyth Tech.

I was thinking.. This medical form has a place for the flu shot, I haven't had one in two years and flu season is fall-spring. Wouldn't it be silly to get one now just for the form? I wonder how they handle that, because I believe I would need another one after fall.

I don't even know where to get my shot records from, I've moved all over my whole life- this should be fun.

When doing my CNA last summer, I was required to get my flu shot, even though it was summer. Start at your elementary school or local health dept for records. I hope this helps.

I am an immigrant who moved here 3 years ago and I cant find my vaccination record either. I spent my weekend looking for it and no success and now I have to look for cpr class because mine has expired already. I think this is just the start the next thing is figuring out the cost of books and uniforms.

I'm sorry to hear that. You'll want to contact your local health dept and get started on the vaccines right away. Some are a 2 part process so it can take up some time.

Cant find my immunizatio re c ord and I need to do a serology evidence of immunity for some of the vaccines. I was told such procedure is not covered ny insurance looks like I will be hit with a 200 bill.

Sheesh. I could tell it was going to get expensive ( still thankful that I'm in!) I have to start working on it today, I'm hoping its attached to my high school transcripts. I know that it was at some point but I'll have to wait for my school in GA to send it, just to check. If not, I guess I will be doing the screening that you have to.

Did you guys get that email today from enrollment services about the deadline being extended to march 31st? I guess they are still in need of applicants? I sent Tiffany an email today letting her know I accept my seat and she responded thanking me... But then I got the other so I'm assuming it was just like a generic that sent to everyone?

I didnt get any email extending the deadline but I have emailed Tifanny my acceptance card. I did get thank you reply from her. Luckily I managed to get a copy fo my immunization record so I am going to urgent care tomorrow. I booked cpr class at cprworksofgreensboro for next week. It is a 3 hr class and they will give you the CPR card on the same day, cost is 50.

Well I hope there wasn't a mix up and they didn't have me in or something. I don't know, I thought it was weird. Maybe I should reply and make sure everything is ok. I also found my immunization records, but my last shots were in 1990 and I'm old enough that we didn't do the chicken pox vaccination so I have to find somewhere to do that serology thing. I called the urgent care place in Randleman and they don't do it and I called CVS minute clinic and they don't either so I'm not sure where to go for that. The health department is booked far out. I was looking for CPR stuff as well. I thought about just doing it at GTCC but I did see that place you are going to. Doesn't seem like a bad price so I may just go there. Are you still having to do the serology test, if so, where?

I guess just the Hepa B but my record indicated that is is waived off because it is not age appropriate. I called Novant prime urgent care in kernersville and I was told that they can do the titer test or I guess that was being referred to as serology. I am going there tomorrow.

Hi, Molly. Do you know where is the clinical site for first semester? If you don't know, I will ask Tiffany when I go to GTCC tomorrow.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression there were no clinical first semester.
