GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

@MMNurse1- no problem!

Good luck to everyone interviewing this week! If anyone has questions, feel free to ask away. I was in the same boat not too long ago, constantly checking the forum, Nursing CAS, and my e-mail for updates. It's going to be okay!! :-)

@TriChick - I am thinking about taking Chem thru GMC. Any chance I could message/email you directly and ask you a few questions about your experience?

Of course! I'm finishing Chem tomorrow so everything is still fresh in my mind:)

Thank you so much! Would you mind sending me your email? Doesn't seem like I can message you directly on this site :/ ... I'd love to see the syllabus / ask a few questions before I register. Thanks again! -Mary

I just PM'ed you my email, hopefully you received it! Let me know if you didn't!

@trichick- Good luck finishing up Chem tomorrow!! :)

Hello and am praying for everyone interviewing this week as well. My question is that, does the prereqs need to be GPA 3.0 or at least C as it states on the website. Due to interviewing this week, Emily and her office have not been able to respond to me.

@Nana Ofori- As you mentioned, you do need to pass (min C) or above for prerequisites. You need at least a 3.0 GPA overall to be competitive and aim for a 3.0 or above for prerequisites as well. Augusta University does consider all factors into your application such as recommendations, volunteer/clinical experience, GRE/MAT before making a final decision. Hope this helps!

Thank you! I have a 94.1% right now, but my final is looming in the corner and threatening to rob me of my A! I'm sooooo ready to mail this textbook back, lol:laugh:

@jjm1228- Thank you all and you are all my inspiration for 2018 application process. Both my GRE/MAT scores all fall short to minimum required needed. I know I can keep taking them but, am all tired now.

Interviewing in Augusta bright and early in the morning! Anxious and nervous but also very excited! Prayers and good vibes sent this way are appreciated!!

@las00,
