GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

Thanks! that makes me feel a lot better. I have been over analyzing my chances lol. I thought getting all the prerequisites done was the hard part but waiting is so difficult. Let go and let god!

Your stats is impressive. I need to retake my MAT/GRE again. I find it difficult in these kinds of exams.

The group is for both. Currently it seems as though there are a lot of Athens students introducing themselves, although minor everyone has posted an introduction so it's hard to gauge.

I mean NOT everyone. Thanks autocorrect:)

Hey everyone! Anyone else here apply late (like literally on the deadline :/) and haven't heard anything yet??

Hi there! There are 13 people so far in the Athens CNL Facebook group so far. Good luck to everyone interviewing this week & those waiting on good news! It takes up to a month or more to hear back from the admissions committee.

@mnnurse1- As long as your transcripts & payments were submitted by the deadline, you should be fine. I would recommend to monitor Nuring CAS for updates as well as contact the program manager (Emily) for confirmation. The committee board only meets once a month & with 300+ applicants each year who apply, it will take some time to hear back from admissions on the next step (s). Hang in there & good luck!

Thanks jjm1228!

@mmnurse1,

I'm late as well and it does take some time for them to review. Hopefully good news come to you soon!

Yea I applied just before the deadline also. Mine still says waiting for review. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

@Nurse0102

Have you heard anything yet?

Does everyone get an interview??

I will have the interview this Friday in Athens but program director said they are going to interview all the way until end of march so they might send out more invites in the next week or so...
