GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

I just got my letter in the mail, I was selected as an alternate for either campus. Does anyone know of people getting in after being placed on the alternate list? Congrats to everyone who got in!

I remember reading about alternates getting in as well:) When they send us our acceptance package, you have two weeks to officially accept your spot and put down a $200 deposit to hold it. It allows them to know very quickly if any of those accepted are declining their seat, so they can look at filling that spot with another applicant. I imagine that allows them to give those chosen to fill the spot notice as early as possible:) Good luck!

Turns out... my background check consent on my portal was right... I got into the Athens camups!!!!

Congrats!:)

Congratulations to everyone who have been accepted! I can't wait to meet all you soon!

For those who have been waitlisted, don't give up hope yet! People have been accepted from the waitlist before! If you don't get in, don't give up and try again next year! I was waitlisted last year, reapplied, and got it this year!

Can you please tell stats. I am looking forward to apply for 2018 start date. I have a masters degree with GPA 3.4 but 270 on GRE and 371 on MAT.

@bglove

Hello: any call yet on your application?

Can you please tell stats. I am looking forward to apply for 2018 start date. I have a masters degree with GPA 3.4 but 270 on GRE and 371 on MAT.

My Stats (as of time of acceptance):

3.06 GPA (Still have to take Chem 1, Micro, and Stats)

MAT: 434 (91st percentile)

Background: Navy veteran, did 10 years as a Russian and Persian Farsi airborne linguist, followed by 4.5 years as an intelligence analyst (current position)

What study material did you use for the MAT? I used a couple books and memorized all of the information in their study lists, I found it helped me IMMENSELY!

I have my interview on Thursday. I just checked the Facebook page and there are about 87 members already. Does anyone know how many students are accepted to Augusta each year?

I also have my interview Thursday! It's via Skype. I was wondering the same thing, lndn803. I'm incredibly anxious but excited!:)

80 spots for Augusta and 40 spots for Athens. I had my interview on Feb. 10, and I think it went well. My application is still under review and I'm getting really nervous:(

Does anyone know if the facebook group is for accepted students for both athens and augusta campus?

I read in previous comments that the admissions committee only meets once a month, and decisions can take up to 4-6 weeks! Don't lose hope :) I'm nervous, too...I check my email like crazy for any updates regarding applications.

Does anyone know if the facebook group is for accepted students for both athens and augusta campus?

The group is for both. Currently it seems as though there are a lot of Athens students introducing themselves, although minor everyone has posted an introduction so it's hard to gauge.
