GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

Hi! I will be applying as well...I graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology this past December and I fell in love with the field of Nursing towards the end of my undergraduate studies. I have not take the GRE yet and to be honest I'm unsure of how to study for it :(. I took the test early part of this year just to get an idea of what to expect and ended u getting a score of 284, which scares me because a 290 or higher is required. I'm aiming to submit my application towards the end of September and hopefully taking the test at the beginning of September.....I too would like to pursue further studies to become a DNP!

During the process you should most definitely stay active on the board ! I scheduled my campus nursing tour for 9/9 this year I'm excited nervous and believing in God for favor! I start everything I finish and I'm racking up hours in my preferred field and assisting nurses so my curriculum vitae may be exceptional and I'm an excellent writer so my essay will come to play. I'm nervous but so excited!

Also consider trying the MAT its $75 and may be better I'm going to schedule my GRE JUST IN CASE LOL

Hi all,

I'm applying this cycle as well. I will be taking the MAT soon and expect to submit my application this weekend.

Moved to post-grad nursing forum.

I'm excited tho! Is this new forum exclusively for GRU? If not I rather not join

How is everyone's application coming?

I'm stalled taking my labs and scheduling the MAT

I scheduled my MAT for the 11th. Good luck to all!

I am also applying for the 2017 cycle. I recently submitted my application on October 2 and got invited to interview on the the 14. I believe the interview went well, now I am just waiting for a letter in the mail to see if I was accepted or not. The program manager Emily said that most people that interview the day I did would get their decision in the mail in about 4 weeks.

Oh wow that turnaround time on the interview invitation was fast! Congrats!
