GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

@TriChick - just emailed ya!

@nana ofori, Thank you so much!

I replied, I hope you got it!:)

@TriChick, is there any MAT study material(s) you direct me to? My email is [email protected]

I used the Kaplan MAT study guide and then checked out the Barron version from the library. I spent months just memorizing everything on their study lists and the back of the book and working on recognizing different strategies in the test itself. I also used flashcard sets that people created on Quizlet that were based off of lists in the books. I found it really helped refresh my memory and demonstrated the myriad of topics the test covers that I wouldn't have thought to review on my own.

Have those who were accepted received their admission packet yet?

@TriChick, thank you.

Hey everyone!

SOS! Anyone out here not heard anything back yet? I applied at the end of application period, got the email that my application was under review (on 2/16) and haven't heard anything since. Anyone else in the same boat? Unfortunately checking my application status via the website isn't very helpful because mine says "incomplete." I emailed the program director and she said it's due to a missing transcript (for a class I'm currently taking) and is not yet needed so the incomplete status is not preventing my app from being reviewed.

ALSO.. has anyone heard the process for those who don't get in? Do you get any feedback? Has anyone already heard they weren't accepted or do we think they let you know at the end of the process?

This waiting game is killin me!!

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Mine says "ready for review". I emailed about a month ago to make sure they had everything from me and was told they did. I feel your pain.

I'm in the same boat. Mine says incomplete due to the supplemental application but I submitted it and was told that they had everything they needed.

I am in the same exact situation right now as well. I applied that same week and my status says "ready for review" but I have heard absolutely nothing. I have contacted the director of the program and she told me that they are reviewing/interviewing applicants until mid-April. I just don't know what to think!

Hello guys:

Is your delay due to the deadline or GPA/Test score? Am very sure you will hear something soon.
