Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.
Got my letter today, and I got into the Augusta campus! :) Thanks for all of the prayers and good vibes sent my way. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for those of you still waiting!
Congrats! Make sure you join the FB group, current students are active in it in order to answer any questions we may have:)
Hi guys!
I am really late in joining this thread but I thought it would be good to ask my questions to other applicants rather than trying to get a hold of someone in the office and sounding in patient lol
Just to give some background So I applied in February by the deadline, my stats are pretty average and I was wondering if anyone else's application still says "ready to review"? Everything says received on the website so I know I am clear in that sense. Do you think we are basically out of the running this late in the game? I am getting quite discouraged but maybe they are just having later meetings to review applications or a larger pool this year? I have been trying to reach out to the program but haven't had much feedback, which adds to my nervousness. I hope they will still be able to review me and potentially consider me and those still waiting for an interview!
What do you guys think? Is any one else still waiting to be reviewed at this point?
I had all of my application in just at the end of the deadline. Everything wasn't verified until a few weeks after the deadline. I received an invitation for an interview last week, and I have my interview today. I'm not sure if that helps at all. Online still says Incomplete due to a supplemental application, but that is an error.
I am a bit worried that with it being so late that my chances are slimmer than if I had an interview towards the beginning.
@futureRN94 I am in the same exact boat as you! I have a great GPA, experience, and my status still says "Ready for Review." I have been in touch with the director of the program and she said that they are still reviewing applications and interviewing. So if you have not gotten a deferral letter, you are still in the running. I feel ya on being discouraged but it'll work out!
Thank you for responding!! it feels better to know that we are still in the running potientally. I know I was told multiple times that the admissions office takes a long time to update application status' but I hope that we hear something soon. Keep me posted if you hear anything or your application status changes., this waiting game is crazy! I get anxious checking the status website everyday! I hope we can get an interview at least, even though its mid April. like a lot of people have already said, it took my application a long time after I submitted which was a few days before the deadline for it to become in complete status, it was incomplete for at least 2-3 weeks, which made me extremely worried. I hope this also did not push my application back. I'm glad we are able to call the college and get positive reinforcement even though they can't give us a clear cut answer because they don't have a final deadline in regards to notifying people which has its pros and cons. I emailed the program manager a few times, But I hate sounding extremely impatient. I really do hope something good comes out of this long wait.
