GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

Very true I actually had to go through each review to get the good ones. But 70% not good. Even the hotels around there. Thanks

The Augusta and Athens campus are 100+ miles apart and will take 2 hours to go from Athens to Augusta and vice versa. Hope this helps!

Hello peeps,

I applied to Athens campus and interviewed on January 12th. My portal updated today to decision made! Have any of my other peeps that interviewed on the same day gotten their letter yet? Also, mine says background consent form required now so fingers crossed!!

Hello!

Im trying to make some tough class decisions for the remainder of the semester and then summer. I checked my application status and it appears that a notification is coming to me via mail, but i never had an interview. I am assuming that this means I am not being accepted for this year. Its okay, maybe next year or a different program is in store for me. I want to slow my course schedule to try and get better grades in my classes than trying to cram my last few pre-reqs in espeically if im going to be applying to other programs, Yet i dont want to withdraw from classes and then be in a panic to figure out how to finish them before august. Im waiting on the mail, yet needing to make some urgent decisions, is anyone willing to chip in their two cents if they think the letter is most likely a denial, due to the fact that I havent spoken to anyone or had an interview?

It truly is alright, i just want to know!

Thank you!

I just checked my status and it said error occurred. Did anyone have a similar experience? And what was the result?! My heart just dropped! Anxiety kicking in now!

@mt03997 - yay! I hope you your letter is good news. My application status page does not say anything about a background consent form so that makes me feel a little anxious. We shall see.

@jennyrae1988 - my page displayed an error for a few hours before my status changed. Must be due to the update.

Did anyone know if there is any possibility that they accept you without interview?

@mgs920

when do you submit your application to nursing cas?

It was due the end of January I believe.

this is the same as person @mgs920 -- for some reason I could no longer log into that account. I submitted back in December

Based on past threads for previous classes, I have not heard of anyone being accepted without an interview to be honest:( I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I just don't recall ever seeing it before. Did you have a super high GPA?

I wouldn't focus TOO much on the background check. I've experienced a few delays with the admissions office updating certain things so it is possible that the required documents section just hasn't been updated yet. Good luck!!!!:)
