GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

If you look on the left there is a section for Calender/News, the CoN Calender is under there:) Again, I'm not 100% sure but it would make sense.

The Clinical Nurse Leader Pre-Licensure Program

TriChick - Aha! Found it. I was wondering the same thing @mt03997 and was confused as this calender is different than the master calendar on the CON main website.

Looks like the BAC committe met on 2/6 so maybe things will change soon. What do you think BAC stands for?

Also, I see that

There was a BAC committee meeting on 2/6 so.. hoping that statuses change today!

It's been awful quiet. Any changes for anyone?

I guess everyone is getting into school mode!!

No changes here, I interviewed a month and a day ago :(

Awwww bummer, I was hoping to see some status changes for people! I know the wait is hard!:(

Still no status change and I interviewed on Jan 13th at the Athens campus. I'm thinking of calling, its been 4.5 weeks now. Getting so nervous!

@ashleyb123 Let me know if you call and what they say, I think we interviewed in Athens on the same day and I still havent heard anything!

While we anxiously wait, can I ask you all a question? Did anyone take an online Micro class? I've taken most of my pre-reqs at Athens Tech but their summer Micro class doesn't jive with my work schedule. Looking for alternatives. Anyone?

@kate888- Happy Valentine's Day & hoping all of us have sweet surprise of acceptance ASAP!! :)

I have to take Microbio as well, and I'll be taking the Microbio class online through Georgia Military College. The lecture & lab are online through a software system & 8 weeks long. The class starts March 18th (~1 month) and over right before Memorial Day. I've confirmed Augusta University will accept Micro entirely online, & GMC credits do transfer over. Hope this helps!

Update: I emailed Emily the program head and she told my that my decision was going to be sent over to the admissions office this week so they could send out my letter. So hoping we will all hear within the week! Does anyone know if they send letters to everyone? Like do they send rejection letters also?
