GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! See you in August!

Thank you! About 15 minutes after opening it I received a call that I might be a potential bone marrow donor match for a patient. Talk about an eventful morning!

Just came home to a big envelope in the mail box.

I'M IN!!!:):):)

Yay!!!!

@encameron12- Depending on if you attended multiple schools, it takes about 2 weeks (around Valentines Day for you) for NursingCAS to process your application in full. Augusta University will sometimes inform you within 3 days or so after Nursing CAS verifies all your documents for an interview. A big chunk of us including myself seems to be in the waiting process for the next steps :-). Good luck!

@trichick- CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so happy for you! That is wonderful that you are also potentially a bone marrow donor match. Your Groundhogs Day will be one for the books :-).

My application status says incomplete and lists my transcripts as a missing items, but my nursingcas application has been verified and I am scheduled to interview. This happen to anyone else??

I haven't had an issue with transcripts, however my status was saying that my supplemental application was missing for about 2 weeks after I submitted it. It actually kept my application from being considered "complete" and stalled it from being transferred to the CNL program committee. I called the admissions office and they were able to quickly verify that it had been submitted and my status was updated about 10 minutes after I got off the phone. I would think it's definitely worth a quick call to them, if for not other reason that some peace of mind:)

Hello guys please what is the airport close to augusta? Thx

Augusta Regional is a small airport that you can fly into or most people fly to Atlanta (Hartsfield-Jackson) and drive ~2.5 hours to Augusta.

Charlotte is also an option. It's about the same distance to Augusta as Atlanta (give or take 20 mins). Columbia, SC is about an hour away and occasionally has lower fares.

Is Charlotte close to augusta?

It's about 2.5-3 hours from here, luckily the drive is easy:) We are in a bit of a dead spot for major airports, with CLT and ATL being the closest.
