GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

Hello, What where your stats if you don't mind me asking?

I wasn't sure who you were addressing your question to, so I'll respond:) I have a 3.02 GPA with 3 prerequisites pending and 434 on the MAT (91st percentile I believe? The scoring is weird!). As far as background, I was in the Navy for 10 years as a Persian Farsi and Russian airborne linguist and have spent the 4.5 years since as an Intel analyst for the Iraq/Afghanistan/Syria mission. I was accepted to the program last year but chose to decline my seat due to issues with my son. I hope that helps! Have you applied?

We have had some teenagers in the neighborhood messing with mail, so I called the admissions office today to see if they could tell me what day the notification was sent. The woman in admissions told me they haven't received word from the program regarding the decision, so nothing has been mailed out yet:( Just a heads up in case anyone else was stalking the mailman like I was. I guess notification isn't immediate.

@trichick- you met all the criteria & have a ton of experience, I have no doubt you'll be accepted again! I hope you receive your mail by tomorrow :)- did it take this long to receive your acceptance letter last year?

Last year we were fortunate that the program manager called us to let us know we were accepted. I believe the letter came a few days after that. I applied at the same time last year and knew the second week in January. I think I might have gotten lucky last year:)

Yes, I am currently in the same boat as well. I'm not sure what exactly that means. I've been nervous for so long now. Smh.

I got an email on Oct 26 that my application was under review. I still have not heard anything!! Anyone in the same boat?

Finally, all my schools sent in my transcripts to NursingCAS. Now the waiting game begins! How long after all your documents were in, did Nursing CAS verify your application?

When did it show on the Augusta University page that you had an application pending? My application has been submitted through NursingCAS and I am waiting for my transcripts to be verified, but I figured since I was able to submit my application that it would show on Augusta's page.

It will only show once everything is verified in NursingCAS and they forward your completed application to Augusta University. Once you submit the completed application and everything is verified and forwarded, Augusta University will send you an email that they have received it and include a link to the supplemental application.

Thank you! I've already submitted the supplemental application, so I'm just waiting for NursingCAS to verify everything!

Just came home to a big envelope in the mail box.

I'M IN!!!:):):)

I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! See you in August!
