Aahhhhhhh... Grey's Anatomy scrubs. My life will be complete now. LOL!!!

Well, that is pretty ironic. A show that hardly ever even admits that nurses even exist is trying to make money off us.

Whatever.

Maybe the Izzy character can fall in love with a male nurse. That would be an interesting twist.

"(Heigl), who plays intern Izzy on the show, says she is working with (Peaches uniforms) to help nurses feel better about themselves."

She and Peaches are going to make nurses feel better about themselves with an outfit? Why not market these scrubs to docs and interns? ...help them feel better about themselves. :trout:

Grey's Anatomy is about interns and physicians. When do we ever see a nurse featured? ...I used to watch Grey's Anatomy, but it has degenerated into a silly soap opera of late. Disappointing.

P.S. I was impressed that Heigl stood up for her cast mate (plays George) recently.

Specializes in Psychiatric.

I was watching E! News and it quoted her as saying that she wanted to design these things to 'lift the self-esteem of nurses everywhere'...to that I reply, 'I don't need designer scrubs to lift my self-esteem!' lol Besides, they're way too expensive for me!:lol2:

Oh, for crying out loud, people... they are scrubs!!!

Not world peace. Not a cure for cancer or hunger or the ozone.

Scrubs.

How on earth is this any different from any other person who slaps their name on a pair of jeans or a dress or shoes?

And I don't recall her referring to consumers as the "little people" and the "frumpy dumpy nobody nurses". What a horrible self image.

It's comical that someone could get so agitated because a TV actress wants to design scrubs. Geesh.

:yeahthat:

...How about if she takes her earnings from the line of scrubs and the $$ goes to nursing scholarships for nursing students, AND awards for nurses!! Now that would be nurse-friendly and lift some self-esteem. Maybe she can shadow a few different nurses on 8 or 12 hour shifts and get a better idea of what our needs for self-esteem are. Somebody call Oprah!

If they want to lift the morale and sefl-esteem of nurses, how about talking to the writers about not portraying nurses as syphillis-ridden whores who are too dumb to buy a clue.
