Green Card on the way!

Published

hello! I am soooo happy! I got an email from USCIS on july 11, 2007 stating my current status and it said that, CURRENT STATUS: Card production ordered. Today, july 12, got an email from USCIS again stating, CURRENT STATUS: Approval notice sent RE I485 application to register permanent residence or to adjust status..

If I am not mistaken, it seems to me that my GC is on its way... I was thinking of renewing my EAD when I got this mail.

PD DATE Oct. 23, 2006

I140 approved: Nov 20, 2006

EAD arrival: Nov 20, 2006

Good Luck to others! Remember, patience is a virtue! BTW, I am from PI currently working here in CA, USA...:lol2: I'll be updating you guys once I receive my GC!

Are you on tourist visa then applied for AOS? congrats!

At this point, any of the people that are under the AOS process started it before October 31 of last year. And quite a few were actually under the F-1 status, or the H-4.

Currently, the petition has been on hold since last year and we do not know when it will be accepted again. Just because new visas will be out in October, we have no idea as to how they will be distributed, and nurses are still under the retrogression.

ms suzanne, is baelahanna on tourist visa when she applied for AOS? thanks

Does not make any difference the type of visa that they were on last year. The issue is that there are no petitions being accepted for the AOS and have not been accepted since last October.

How or what was done in the past has no bearing on what is being done now.

yeah you are right ms. suzanne. thank you so much! we hope that this coming october the visas will be current. thank you again. God bless

There will be visas released in October, that does not mean that things will be current at that time for all. I would not expect that to be the case at this time based on what I have seen in the past. There are still more that wish to work in the US than there are visas available. Until they create another schedule separate from the others for nurses, RNs will still be under retrogression like they are now. And they can still keep certain countries under retrogression, such as the PIC countries and Mexico. Like they were planning to do originally.
