Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

I commend you for not going through that paper again, lol. I could not help it. Diana told me to not overdo it, because it had been pretty much graded. However, the OCD person that I am, I culled some of the redundancy.

I thought the same thing about the word count. Three papers have a max count of 2000 words, so therefore, even if you stay within the count, you will be over 5000.

Let me know what your tii score is. I was shocked to see mine at 0%, since the other papers had 1-3% respectively. I guess my culling killed the tii score.

Next week will go by sooo slowly, lol. It's like the last week of school! LOL!!

Since you are essentially done, I will say CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I am just so far over school that I just don't care about redundancy anymore. I just want to submit the paper and get my grade. Then be on my way.

Oh wow, I didn't even think of the TII score. I hope mine is not too scary. I am anxiously awaiting Monday at 0001 so I can submit this thing to tii and then final submission!!! Woo hoo!! How in the world do they know if my charges actually look at the paper. A person can write any old name down. I am gonna have my charge nurse look at it. I am sure she won't read it. We had a discussion like a week ago about how much she hates school. This is why I am picking her to look at my paper.

Hi JRich, congratulations on almost being done! I have a quick question for you when you get a chance to answer. Do you have to show each of your papers to someone at work and have them sign off?

PurpleMyst, you have to show the final product to someone at work. That is it :)

How do they know you showed it to someone at work and not someone you picked at the happy hour where you will be celebrating the end of school?:cheeky:

Thanks for the info. Did you like your instructor? and if you did would you mind sending me a pm with her name? I am getting nervous now, I'm still not sure about my PICO. I'm now in week 3 of Trends, next week we work on the group ppt., there are 5 of us in this group and it's almost too much with all the dang posts in the forum but since there are 5 of us we are able to each pick a topic from the 5 that we need to cover so I guess that's good. I am tired of group work with people I can't see or talk to. I am so relieved this is the last one. I am already done with all the work for this week so that's leaves 7 weeks to the end:yes:

Yes it is, I wonder what it will be like to not have this BSN threat over my head anymore:D

Thank you for the giving me her name, I think I might call my new counselor (my old one retired) and see if I can get that instructor.:)

It is liberating to have that threat completely gone!

As for the instructor, you will love her! It's not who Pandora and I originally signed up for. We were told there was another really good professor, however, she did not teach when we needed her, lol. It all worked out well though.
