Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.
Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.
Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.
I was oversea's when I did mine *under the old program*. If I remember right I e-mailed it to a friend of mine back in the states who reviewed and signed off on it. Hope that helps.
I don't think any of the classes require hospital time......in 1 of my anything classes, I had to attend a meeting and comment on how the group interacted with each other.......For capstone, just emailed it to a colleague and that was that....she jotted down her name and contact info and done!!
Yay! Diploma came in the mail yesterday it's official . I was surprised that it did not have on it honors listed on the diploma but it is on the transcript. So has anyone stayed at GCU for a MSN or have you gone to other online programs?
Hi all! First class finished as of yesterday! Question...how long does it take for the next class to show up? Currently there isn't one just future courses.
believe I could always see the next course....but usually just an instructor was not assigned to it until closer to class start, which was 1-2 weeks out
Well what does anyone know about Statistics. I heard the who class has changed. The assignments doubled and students are having alot of trouble. Does anyone know anything about the changes and if the class is really harder.
Hi Howlee. I took Statistics in September and if it wasn't for the youtube video links that Flames provided I would not have passed. The link, or person doing the videos is tina9msu. Ended up passing fine. Don't know if the format has changed since then.
HI jnsculpepper, my advisor has it set up that I roll right into my next class at the end of the current class that I am in. I get a confirm or deny message about 2 weeks prior to the start of the class. She has been awesome. Keeps in contact with me, calls me back within a day if I have questions.
Lot of resources for Stats...school has tutors....youtube videos.....hire a tutor on ur own....I was fortunate my wife is a #'s person and able to explain things to me....for once I listened,lol
Hopefully u can keep ur Advisor 4m ranch...I went thru 3 or 4....last 1 I had was horrible, totally clueless....She proved just because 1 has higher education (masters degree in something) doesn't mean one is intelligent.... GL
