Members are discussing the accreditation and acceptance of BSN and MSN degrees from GCU in different states, particularly focusing on the requirement of a preceptorship for BSN programs. There are concerns about certain states not accepting GCU BSN degrees, while others share experiences with the capstone course and offer tips for scholarly activities. Additionally, there is mention of GCU transitioning back to a non-profit status and the impact of this change on students.
Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.
Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.
Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.
Sunday night still waiting for my final grade for my Capstone. Hopefully soon...
I'd hate to be a capstone professor and grade those suckers, plus the added addendums.
You are finished though, congrats!!!!!
Any words of wisdom too share for those near the capstone?

Or those who just submitted the 3 assignments for week 1 with 20 minutes to spare and feel like they've been run over by a truck? :sstrs:
3 assignments for week 1?!?!? Oh Lord have mercy on me please! I start next week.

Do you have your 15 articles? Have you read them? That was my prob over the weekend, some of the articles I thought I had weren't good, couldn't even fake it, so had to find more to replace the losers. The assignments for week 1 are totally doable, it was a combination of things that made my situation ugly. So Beauty, read those articles, and if they're not right, get new ones before class! LOL
WHAT PRISM SAID. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I have repeated myself ad nauseam about the capstone articles. You HAVE to know these suckers inside and out.
I think Prism aged herself 5 years, thanks to those three assignments.

Week one finished!!! YAY! Get past those lit reviews and your addendums and you will be golden!

Is it a requirement to have the capstone graded and grades posted within one week after it is due? Wishing you the best Vegan!!!

The benchmark assignment I did for Community Health last week was grossly over in word count. Not a single notation on the whole paper. I wonder how closely it was looked at because I know I'm not perfect!
