Members are discussing the accreditation and acceptance of BSN and MSN degrees from GCU in different states, particularly focusing on the requirement of a preceptorship for BSN programs. There are concerns about certain states not accepting GCU BSN degrees, while others share experiences with the capstone course and offer tips for scholarly activities. Additionally, there is mention of GCU transitioning back to a non-profit status and the impact of this change on students.
Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.
Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.
Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.
And now the wait for TII....fingers drumming the table to the cadence of "I will not wait this long again, repeat, say it again".
So grammerly was 36%, write check was 6% and TII was 4%, either way another paper done on my way to BSNland.
What specifically did it not like....the words Healing Hospitals . Can they not fix that? Everyone is going to have that in their paper! Off soapbox, carry on (straight to bed for me!)
What is a NuWave oven????
I want the lava lamp smiley!!
Doesn't that drive you nuts? I hated seeing different percentages. Many times non were even in the same ballpark. That's insane from 36-4%.
Even though my papers for the Capstone were submitted once and then resubmitted in the large paper, my tii score was....get this............... ZERO.

That is going to drive me nuts! Well better than >20%
You can't cook either? I've burnt water before!!! Ok the water evaporated and the pan burned! HeheheAh yes, kindred sister spirit...
Yes I recognize it is late on a Sunday, but this is NOT going to become a habit!!!
I remember saying that too.
Cooking is over rated. They only reason I cook, is the responsibility of feeding the herd. Otherwise, I'd live off of rice cakes, water, and chocolate.
Those of you that have completed leadership class do you mind telling me how is the class structured? What are the assignments for each week?
Same for trends. I am trying to see how much work will be each week to decide if I combine them or not. Thanks a lot

The wife loooooovvvvveeeesssss me to cook!
I just never have the time anymore with work and school and keeping up on Allnurses.
Rob: Sorry honey, I can't cook dinner. Have a bowl of Cocoa Puffs instead. I'm too busy surfing AN!
I never did cook when I went to school. Husband took over the housework (hence me still detailing around here) and he cooked. Food would be thrust in my face whilst typing a paper. The poor man thought I was going to starve. Yeah right. I gained 10 lbs sitting on my butt!
