Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Yes, will offer what I can so you can avert the drama I went through that last week. First of all, it looks like 3 assignments/tasks, but it's really 5. It's just way too much stuff to cram into 7 days, so do yourself a favor (since you just started the class and you have a few weeks) and figure out your teaching topic now. Then get busy on the work plan proposal. That is the document that is basically saying what you're going to do, how you're going to do it, and the rationale behind it all. I just looked at mine, it was 1800 words. THEN (task 2), you have to show your masterpiece to a PH/CH provider and get their feedback on it (this is the "hidden" assignment that doesn't really stand out, but it's there). They have to complete/sign that form confirming they read it and offered their opinion. This is one of the things that jams up week 5 if you wait -- Doing your own work is one thing, but these assignments require the scheduling of other people, so best not to wait until week 5. The 3rd thing is the actual powerpoint or pamphlet or poster or whatever you're going to create. The 4th thing is the actual teaching experience itself (going out and doing your community presentation - again, has to be scheduled, relying on other peoples' schedules and hoping you can get that done by Thursday or whatever & leave yourself enough time for task 5). Then, 5th & final project is the 1500-2000w paper that incorporates parts of your initial work plan proposal and the rationale behind what you chose to present, summarizes the event itself, how it went, what went well or didn't, what you might have changed, etc etc etc. That week was really awful for me trying to get my proposal done and viewed by someone (at their availability), then creating my visual aid and getting it printed for the audience (I did a pamphlet/flyer/handout thing), then showing up to DO the gig, then writing a big ol' paper all by Sunday (oh, and working M-F while I was at it). Just sayin', start now! LOL
In the middle of this and the group project. Good thing it''s only week 3......Lord help me!
To top it off..... I'm living in Australia, so have to find someone here. Thankfully they have an association for community health nurses that I have been able to contact.

All I can say is good luck. We just submitted our group project and in my opinion it was horrid. I am grateful that I have near a perfect grade in the class and can absorb a bad grade.....
Working on my final assignment, wished I started earlier....

Good luck on that rob4546....I'm trying here to get started on that as I have to go out tomorrow and thought it would be a good time to stop by and visit the provider. Cross my fingers!
I just wish I was in Australia.
It is beautiful, though I haven't seen much outside of Perth as we don't have a car yet.
So far I have been able to work around most things that have been challenges. I am not working over here for a variety of reasons, so keep crossing my fingers that does not become a problem.

I highly doubt it. Maybe if they had the energy, less students and suspicion of blatant cheating.
Part of the capstone is sharing your work. I know they never contacted my manager.
