Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

I think they tend to mark the CLC projects very softly...in our research project,,,the other guy took the lead....our PICO statement, which the research should have all been centered around..did not even match...in fact he made up the PICO statement last! I had sent out numerous emails..no 1 cared..and it was total crap!! I think we got a 93 or 94% on it......

Hello busy friends. I was wondering if anyone would like to volunteer to help me out.

I am in trends week three but am still working on the assignment due in week 2.

I wrote a short "informal presentation" on Accountable Care Organizations, medical homes, and nurse managed health clinics. I am supposed to share it with my colleagues on the presentation (I don't have any). I am supposed to write 800-1000 words on the impression of 3 nurses and my teacher asked us to include a little information on the nurses background.

I know you guys probably don't have any free time, but if you feel like procrastinating on your own homework I can send you my presentation (597 words).

Sorry if this is asking way too much!

Send it to me as well and I will take a gander! =)

I only worked in a hospital setting for 2 years... after Nrsg School. But have worked in OB/GYN, Allergy, Critical Care Clinic/Pulmonary for years. If I can help, please let me know.

I assumed as much, but in my opinion this submission was not acceptable. It didn't cover all the points in the rubric and was generally awful. Not only because I know the community in which it is based, but the grammar, organization, and informational value was way off.

I talked with the education director at my facility today (GCU graduate) and she said that it might have been an individual grade. She thinks that if I provided all the information like I said, completed the interview and write up, and completed my slides diligently then others might have gotten a lower grade. She said to email the instructor and ask, don't know if I want to do that. I haven't turned in my final assignment for a grade yet. Don't want to make her mad.

Oh, well. I will just keep on chugging.

Easy way to figure this out: Text all your teammates individually and tell them your LC is down or your computer broke or something and ask "did the grade come back yet?". See what they tell you, they will probably assume it is a group grade and have no problem telling you what showed up in their inbox... Underhanded but effective. Unless they're reading these posts LOL

Thanks again Pink! I am sure you have a wealth of experience that would have brought something interesting to a very boring paper. Three wonderful nurses already helped me out!

That has been one of the hardest part of school for me. I'm not working as a nurse and I only talk to one person from my ADN.

I think my sister should get an honorary award because I've interviewed and assessed her so many times!

I'm going to order my GCU nursing pin soon. I think it will help me keep an eye on the prize! OK back to work for me.

I don't work either..there are ways around it......almost done!!

We got our group grade back for patho....and ours was the same.....The gal that did absolutely nothing--we covered it up to make it look like she did (in the CLC contract) can't even take the time and say thank you!! I didn't mind do the work, as it is just easier sometimes to do it than other avenues....and it is a very easy project..easily done by 1 person.....but come on, at least say Thank you,lol I'm just glad I'm not a patient or a co-worker of hers.

Worked on an intense surgical floor, ENT and other surgeries. Not sure you realize it was always throat cancer... trach's, etc...Then we treated those same patients with chemo.. they knew us and we already had a connection. This was back in1978. I took care of one of the first stomach reduction surgical patients.. she did well!! Then OB/GYN Clinic, Allergy, Critical Care/Pulmonary.... I mean critical care. If any one ever needs a bit of a blurb or help, please let me know.

I am awaiting some employee assistance...

Kwmom and I so lucked out. Our CLC is done on a Wednesday evening. The whole weekend to focus on week 5s individual paper and PPT. I'm going to start Trends on Monday as well. I took two days off too, but with those two off I don't work through the weekend with the way my scheduled laid out, yay for me! :)
