Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect in Research? Until I reach Capstone, I need to double up the last 2 weeks of every class to finish up by August. If I do, I will be able to work as an official school nurse come the new school year! Just curious what is involved in Research so I can get prepared.

" elective of my choice (still trying to figure this one out). But Lord don't fail me now!!!"

I want the easiest class EVER with minimum work, papers, discussions, group work, and laid back teacher! I am tripping because where in the world am I gonna find that? :woot: Wishful thinking I guess! A girl can dream.:rolleyes:

That is exactly what I want!!:sarcastic:

Beauty you are close too!!! I am only going to suggest this and then run and hide, but just in case...have you thought about going on for your masters??? If you have maybe taking a class you need for that instead, I understand that they are 8 week classes. Just a thought. Too bad basket weaving wasn't an online course :lol2:. Seriously I would call and at least talk with your advisor.

I will send you a PM.

Basket weaving sounds like a GREAT class! I would take it for sure. But yes Winter I have been thinking of getting my Masters but I need a break from school, but I will talk to my advisor for some guidance. I wonder if anyone on here has taken an elective.

I have to take 2 after Capstone ( I did no thave to do Ethics and 1 other nursing class) I could do them before Capstone..but do them after..Really have not looked into them yet......My Adviser sent me a link and said I could pretty much just choose any 300 or 400 level class.....She would make sure they check and see if they were appropriate or not....worry about that later.....

Feeling so burned out. April 5 I am done! Fingers crossed I will survive Capstone. Sounds like a super intense course. I do have a recommended instructor so I'm praying it's not quite as bad as I'm expecting. I don't think I've ever looked forward to summer as much as this upcoming one! Me and sunshine and pleasure reading. I can hardly wait......only thing keeping me trudging along.

Winter we are so close! I actually did the DQs and saved them all when we first got the syllabus so I have done it......just don't remember it LOL. I am working to get all my Patho stuff done before capstone starts since I overlap one week. I sorta feel like I'm in such a panic to get it all done and make sure I have time to finish getting my capstone articles that I'm not putting out my best work, but so far it's working out. I've taken on some new roles at work so that is adding to my panic level. GAH! On the bright side, it'll all be over soon. You'll be a year older with those 3 beautiful letters added behind your name. :)

After the first week of Capstone you will feel like it is a walk in the park because you will only have one class and that will be over in a blink of an eye! I didn't know you were doubling at the end of Patho too! I have this week left in Leadership to be down to one class. I do not think I will overlap that last week of Patho unless I can knock out week 5 early. I'm not sure that is possible with a PPT and Paper that week, as Trends has a big paper on week one as well. If it was only two papers yes, two papers and a PPT I just don't think I can.

I think Patho is a lot more straight forward than others..the CLC project should be a 2 person project.....I do believe there is a PP and paper at week 5...but the only thing due in week 4 (besides the DQ) is the group project!!
