Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Did not have a CLC project for leadership in ours.......

Well that was clear as mud! Sorry. I am in week 3 of Leadership, no CLC (wish there was so I didn't have to do the PPT by myself this week (did I really say that!!!). And kwmom and I have access to Patho now. Not much clearer, but it is as good as it gets. :D

OK, for those of you that have taken leadership. I got my review back from my boss, she noted a couple of things that I needed to include. Should I include those in my Executive Summary before handing it in? Needing help! I want to, because I will get marked down...this teacher needs no help with that part of her job!

I was happy to do it by myself, lol So much easier........The CLC for Patho is very straight forward....should be a 2 person tasking..1 does the 500-750 word paper and the other does up the dialogue..appears very straightforward

If you think it will strengthen ur paper..by now 1 has somewhat of a feeling how the prof marks...

Winter. Where did you see that she said she already had groups assigned? My coworker is also in Patho with us. Otherwise I don't recognize any other names on class roster.

And for leadership I don't think I changed anything after I got my feedback but my instructor wasn't too harsh on grades so I wasn't too concerned.

oh yes that part......I never changed anything.....but the Prof was an extremely fair grader.

It was in one of the announcements. I will ask her first thing on Monday. Glad there are no familiars! That or we could let G do it ALL this time, LOL!!!

One of the major slackers from when I first started GCU is in my Leadership class, I would have asked to be changed, HA!

Wonder how big the groups are going to be...if it is 5 or less, and we get put together, we have the majority...hehehehe.

I am a bit overwhelmed with these two classes together for two weeks. First week, I can manage but two papers the second week (ack!!).

I have not asked, shall I?

I've been trying to work ahead and have all my work done for Trends. Just have the DQ responses to worry about so I should be okay. Hopefully Patho won't be too bad. I see the DQs are quite long and worth 20 points.......wonder how in depth the instructor is going to require?

In patho now.....Many seem to be around 600-900 words......Our prof adds in a second DQ..believe she counts it as a response. The DQs may require a bit more work..but they are interesting

Ah. I'll have to look again. I must've missed that one. Is it bad I almost wish we had G again now that we know her style. Lol. The fact that your major slacker is in your Leadership class makes me sad how the slackers are still chugging along......no doubt on the shirt-tails of others which makes me think everyone in CLCS get the same grade.

I have two days off this week to do 3 DQs, a PPT, and that test. Next week 4 days off so I will be burning some midnight oil! I thought I was working ahead but then here I am with nothing done for the next week! How did that happen?

Looking at them it appears that at least they are nursing related. Reminds me of ADN school.
