Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Hi All,

I wanted to take a moment to send out warm thoughts to you all, wishing a very merry Christmas to you and your families. I know this isn’t Thanksgiving, but I’m going to say it anyway! I’m thankful for all of your insight, help, talking me off my occasional ledge, humor, and most of all the invaluable support I feel from this select little group of people I have never even met, yet feel close to. This would be a completely different experience for me had it not been for all of you. Most grateful of course to tokmom (BSN!) who started this adventure a couple of years ago, saw it through, got her prize, yet still manages to check in every day to see how we are all doing and lend her wisdom. That, my friends, is a genuine leader. May you all have a very special and blessed Christmas!

(The red is me hemorrhaging from my latest paper, I knew it was bound to happen sometime. My dad got sick, is refusing to take his blood thinner he's a high risk and I can't talk him into it, and my husband's job was eliminated. With all of that I handed in a paper that I had cut and didn't proofread to put back in a couple of steps =(...and I got the grade before we went to celebrate Christmas with my folks, I'm having a major pity party...). Ok that is over.

I too am so thankful to be able to come here and just let it all out. I'm still bummed about the paper but at least I've some great people to talk to about it!

And it has started to snow, so it will be a white Christmas. Fa la la la la la la la

Well, cool on the snow, but not so cool on the job elimination and your dad. I was lost about the paper, but it sounds like you didn't get the grade you wanted. I'm sorry. You are carrying around some heavy burdens with all of that news. We are here for you. ((((((hugs))))))

Hope you all had a great holiday! I love this time of year, but wish I had the time to enjoy it more! Maybe next year when I'm not in school any longer I will be able to do just that! I too, am thankful for this little community of supporters that I can turn to for questions, concerns, or just to find an ear to listen! I can't imagine going through this program without all of your help. I hope you can all enjoy the rest of this holiday season with your family and friends!

I have tried to message her several times, but have not heard from her. Sorry she had a negative experience and hope she finds something that will work better for her.

I'm guessing she dropped GCU. Last I heard she was in the first week.

I have mostly recovered from the shock of my worst grade ever. Humph. You know what they say...comes in three's. My poor mom is now sitting in hospital with nasty pneumonia, pleural effusion, and new CHF. Hoping it's all r/t the pneumonia bug and will resolve with antibx's. Ready for the New Year. Seriously though I felt much better just talking about that paper. You guys are awesome!

I agree this is an awesome group that I wish I found sooner. I would've loved to have gone through more of this program with you all.

Winter, I'm sorry things aren't so great for you right now, but I hope they turn around soon. You will bounce back from that grade and still earn your honor cords!!
