Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Hope you feel better!

Hey cool emoticons come after you have finished your half way point!! BTW Tokmom and Prism, today I officially hit the point (hand'em to me ).

I just received an email that I was at my limit and it is now cleared and ready for some fun! AN is stingy with space! LOL

Thanks for the well wishes. I feel a little better today, or at least I can breathe. Sinus pain isn't as bad but I still have tinnitus (been trying to work that word into conversations since nursing school).

Little update on Family Centered Health Promotion, absolutely love the instructor. She has responded to two of my DQ's so far and is available in the instructor forum everyday. She hasn't graded my paper that I just turned in, but I will be able to live with whatever she posts because I am fairly sure I will get feedback.

She also grades as the class progresses instead of at the last minute at the end of the week. I already have grades for this weeks posts and I just posted this afternoon. I don't want to get spoiled with all this though.

I am here trying to work on the second paper due for Family Centered Health Promotion and had a question for all who have been there done that.

We are to find three journal articles that highlight primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of health promotion and write a paper comparing them.

So my questions is did you just pick a topic (like diabetes) and find articles that discussed each one of the levels of health promotion? Or did you look for articles specific to teaching health promotion at those levels?

Seems like if we are going ot compare articles, they need to be about the same topic......

I don't think any of us did it the same. Check out page 99 of THIS thread, and then page 95 of the OTHER thread where Noodles asked this question. I remember tokmom did them all on CHF, and all 3 articles of mine were on different Dx.

My instructor did not require all levels of health promotion to be the same topic. I think I just found articles that included the particular level for that part of the paper.
