Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Hey! I have an idea :idea: !

By this time next year, we'll ALL be done (pretty much anyway). Let's sign up for the GCU MSN program and all do it together -- wouldn't those CLC's kick @ss??! A bunch of Type A's in one group with NO slackers?! Can you imagine?! Ah, a girl can dream... LOL :w00t:

Maybe it's the sleep depravation talking, but as crazy as it may sound, I think that sounds like a good idea Prism.

What am I saying....it's time for me to try to sleep...at 0337 after working 13 hrs today in my very AMS Med/Surg unit today. I am hearing bed alarms when I close my eyes y'all...make it stop!!!! :crying2:

That would be pretty cool to know everyone had your back.

I have kicked around the msn program, but I have no idea what I want to do AND I need to pay off my own student loans and a dtr that I owe on.

Sheesh, I feel as though I have forgotten APA, already.

Now if I win enough lottery to pay it all off.....

Oh Prism you are too funny. At this point I am telling myself if I EVER think I wanna go back to school after earning my BSN I will certainly need to be prescribed some psych meds because I will have lost my mind!

I'd like to take this opportunity to rename our weekly submission from

"WHO KNEW??" to " :hlk: "

as in, "Nobody has pointed this out to me until class #9?? Do you know how many hundreds of times I have written (Grand Canyon University[GCU], 2011). ?

and in case you're wondering the rationale for the citation/reference format: "The title in quotation marks is used instead of the author because lectures in GCU courses are not attributed to individual authors; in this case, the title moves into the first position in the in-text citation and is enclosed in quotation marks."

Now I'm no APA guru, but I've been doing the (GCU, 2011) bit because I thought if there was no individual author, the 2nd option is a Group Author/Institution. If this is indeed correct, why could someone not have mentioned this oh, I dunno, a year ago?

I just used peerla lecture notes, and I think it gave me what you described. Lovely.

I totally despise APA.

No wonder I had instructors tell me to fix my references in my dq.
