Graduate nurse from the Philippines

hi im a grad nurse 2 yrs ago and still not an RN..currently im in USA California right now working as a caregiver and working in a long term care facility..

well nclex didn't worked for me i failed 3x already and im hearing great news in australia that they are hiring an RN or not an RN whether with or without experience..

the thing that im asking frequently for the past few days is that what agencies that i must approach in the philippines and what are the requirements needed, how much it cost,all that kind of stuff..PLEASE reply to me ASAP because in 6-7 mos i'll be leaving here in US so that i can act on this requirements..thanks everybody

Do you have a local license ie passed NLE, I think you will find that is a requirement for Australia, plus if you have no US nursing experience you will be expected to go through some form of bridging program and there is a huge thread discussing this so suggest a good read

but what about my situation?im not an RN although i completed my BSN but i recently working here as a live-in caregiver and also working in a long tern care facility..would it be possible that i can put these on my resume for future references during the time that they'll assess my background?

You can certainly include those on your resume' and use them as references, but they won't count as nursing experience.

so for the bridging program,is this only required for RNs and non RNs w/ or w/o experience?but what if i pass the BP, what is the next step?and if i don't,what are the possible ways that you can do the BP again?

Hate to be blatant but:

You will not qualify for the BP as you are not a Registered Nurse. You are a person with a nursing degree from 2 years ago that has never had experience as a Registered nurse, anywhere and according to your posts it will be 6-7 months before you act on this, that will be 3 years since you did a nursing degree.

IF you do pass the NCLEX and have nursing registration but no experience, you still may have trouble with AHPRA as they want at least 3 months experience if you are not a new graduate to even assess you for eligiblity to do the bridging course.

IF you do not pass NCLEX

You will not be considered a graduate nurse in Australia as it is 2-3 years since you gained a nursing qualification, and not a Registered Nurse , hence you will not qualify to do a bridging program, bridging from what? as you are not a Registered nurse.

You will need to apply to universities to have your transcripts evaluated and get admittance to a Bachelor of Nursing degree in

Australia. After that you can obtain admission to be a Registered nurse in Australia and then you will have to find a health organisation to sponsor you with a visa. If these are still are available..times have changed since your friends made the choice to come here.

ps you cannot get a visa to work here as a caregiver, pca, nurse attendant, etc etc, even if you were related to the Prime Minister, as these are not on the skills shortage list,, you could however work as one of these if you were on a student visa.

Costs: around 13,000- 20,000 au a year - comparable to the US dollar at the moment and you would possibly have to do anywhere between 1 year to 2 years.

Hi, sorry to hear about not able to pass the NCLEX, but hope you can make it this time around soon! But I'm curious in that you're not having any problems getting your ATT in CA even today, given the terrible concurrency problems with our PH schools or did you get the ATT a long time ago?
