I thought it would be nice to have a 2009 Grad Thread we can share are joys, fears, stories (hippa permitting) Just to relieve the stress.
I am a 25 y.o. wife and mother of 3 girls ages 7,5 and 1. I have been in the medical field since 2001, but took all Allied health classes in high school. I am in my first of four semesters, doing the evening program, lasting 15 months.
Right now I am not really doing any core nursing classes, just A&P, nutrition and nurs 110 which is basically a 'history of nursing' class.
I was a paramedic, I have a degree in medical office management and STNA. I have taken the long route into nursing but finally feel I have found the right path. I graduate in July of 2009 and plan on entering ADN in Aug of 2009.
had orientation today @ pit. we have 56 students right now, don't know how many we'll still be blessed with @ the end of the our 12-month term-but i plan on being in that final count! lol! part ii of orientation continues tomorrow & actual classes start january 5, 2009 (classes end on dec. 11, 2009/the students graduate on dec. 12, 2009). wish me well & pray for me; i'll do the same for all of you!! merry christmas, happy hanukkah, [color=sandybrown]happy kwanzaa, happy holidays to all!!
hi everyone!!! i am a mother of three two eleven year old girls and a 9 year old boy. i started my LPN class in April of 2008 and we graduate april 2009. we just took our final in iv therapy passed the class with a 91.5 yea me!!! just four months more to go.
Hi all! My name is Laura I'm 23 happily married with no children. I start my LPN class in Feb 2009 and I graduate Nov 2009.I just got my acceptance letter and I can't wait to start class.
I am a 24 year-old widow from Cincy. I have 3 kids: 4, 2, 1.
I will be all done in July or August. I have an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting. (rolling eyes. I could have finished my RN in that amount of time. Serves me right for not doing my research!!)
I graduate in 70 days! Not that I'm counting!! It's so close and yet so far. I only have 42 days of actual classroom/clinical time left! I'm so excited!
Hi, I am a mother of 4, I attend Everesrt Institute in Michigan. I will be graduating in December of 2009. I am so proud of myself and all of the future LPN's
Hi everyone :) I'm Brian, 27 and in the LPN program at MCI VB. I graduate 10/29/2009 and just had my first clinical. I have my Associates in Social Science Degree already and decided on a career change. I love nursing so far but got a little discouraged after my clinical because I felt inadequate for my patient, but I WILL get through it. I have 4 cats and a wonderful boyfriend of over a year. I am truly blessed, and I will keep everyone in my thoughts as this is not the easiest profession or schooling. It is DEFINITELY going to be worth it!

Monday is our OB final and I am going into it with a 91 average. I am exhausted every day! But I will get through this.
