  1. that's very scary as i'm a new LPN passed boards last month and i am currently working full time in LTC I see how easy it would be to make a med error and to think a nursing assistant passing meds someone is going to get hurt or worse.
  2. I to am in the same delima as i constantly remind my aids to wash the bottoms after our pateints have an incontient episode. they are really consistant about turning and positioning. BUT, I feel like they are failing to wash and dry thoughly.
  3. I would like to add that the floor mats caused one of our clients in LTC to fall as she was headed to the bath room tripped fell and broke her hip, busted her head ( required 9 stitches) and although it's been almost a year ago she is terrified to get up and go to the bathroom now
  4. i used delmar and a review study book that are class had mostly though i studided my lab values and my med surge stuff. GOOD LUCK on your test i know you'll do fine
  5. i just got my quick results from pearsons and i passed yeaaaa. when i left that testing center thursday the 14th i was certain that i had failed and failed badly. i came home and was preparing to start studing again but i was wrong thank god!! i would not have wanted to take that test again it was brutal!!! :nurse:thank you every one for all the posts and info every thing has helped. i did it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I took mine this morning and it shut down at 86 questions im scared to death as well, guess i'll have to wait just like the rest waaaaaa!
  7. can you please tell me where to go to take the NCLEX predictor test i'd like to have some kind of clue where i stand as far as my knowledege level

  10. i think you did the right thing my hubbie is a 8 year paramedic and he said that if you suspected a pelvic injury then you did the right thing although was it possible to do a pelvic squeeze?
  11. had any one had any luck useing the Delmar nclex-pn series
  12. I have a particular frustratuation with a fellow student that has had at least one member in her family to have had a condition that the instructor discusses. i am just wondering if she will ever run out of uncles, cousins, brothers friends, ect ect... and its not just stuff like the common cold its faces ripped off haveing to have over two hundrend surgeries to correct it. Always some big elaborate story I just want to bring a yard stick to class to wack her when she raises her hand...I think even the instructor would get a kick out of it as they allways have this look on there face like what now......
  13. No i don't think that you will hate being a nurse as you do a CNA. I've had my CNA license since 1996 and i've worked in various facilities and now I currently work in a home setting with Quality home health. I am also going to school full time with the end goal of becomeing an LPN. I do love my work as I love the feeling of seeing the smiles on my pt.'s faces when I help them do a difficult task that other wise would be difficult or impossible for them to complete on there own. And I just know that I'm going to love being an LPN even more. Like one of the previous posters said before it may be just a matter of finding your area that you like working in the best. Nurseing is a very rewarding and fulling experience with lots of growth potential and is a forever changing field. I wish you all the best of luck with what ever you choose to do in life.
  14. I started a month ago...any boy i can't believe i allready have a months worth of school allready behind me. I have allready learned so much and was a bit shocked at the amount of tests that we've taken. i wish everyone that is starting the LPN program the best of luck
  15. :yeah: i love it that was funny
