Here is a place that we could start discussing the next part of our journey in nursing school.

Has anyone read the book they suggested in our acceptance letters? I bought it off amazon and I am excited to read it!!!

Keri

lovleeme, thanks for the information.

bridge36, since you took the nurse calculation class during a regular semester, tell me what you think if it's taken during the summer? Do you think it's doable since it's a short 1 month long class? I'm also taking Micro this summer as well.

Its definitely doable! The only assignments that are graded is the midterm and the final. All of the quizzes are practice work and they all are available throughout the entire class. Her videos are available also. Being that the quizzes are practice assignments, You can take them as many times as you would like. Dosage and calculations is all about math and conversions. Math is my favorite subject so it was pretty easy to me.

Sounds great. I've registered for the math dosage class as well as my last prereq, which is speech.

Well good luck! I'm sure you guys will do great. It was an awesome class and I'm glad I took it. I'm sure we will see a lot of the stuff throughout the program.

Bridge36, go to the web page and when you search make sure you search Kennestone hospital. You should be able to find it that way.

Hi I was wondering what do you have to have as far as credentials to get a job as a clinical care partner. I've been at my job in law enforcement for almost ten years and that is the only experience I have. I will be attending the nursing program at GPC in the fall and I'll need some income. My job may not be able to accommodate my schedule.

I was wondering the same :( I SO want a job in the hospital but all I have is waitressing experience..... Worried where the money will come from once school starts :-/ blah.

Hello everyone,

I mailed my confirmation letter, passport photo and receipt to Mrs. Creel 2 weeks ago but I have not got any feedback yet. Is there anyone who did not received the feedback as me?

Thank you.

Clinical care partner normally you need your CNA license or some sort of medical experience. There is a chance of getting on without it but very small. I do know that the Wellstar Paulding nursing home pays people to train to become a CNA but you have to commit to work for like 6 months I believe .....

I also mailed my stuff to nursing dept several weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I don't think we are supposed to hear anything until may?

I don't think we are supposed to receive anything. But I do plan to call soon just verify it has been received :)

What's the name of the book that they recommended for us to buy?

I plan to take my documents to the school on Friday. I dont want to take any chances. LOL!!!
