GPC Fall 2013 letters

I can't believe it. I have read in the past I wouldn't hear until the end of March or April to know if I was accepted. To my very happy surprise, I got my letter in the mail today! Let the games begin.....anyone else here from GPC? Good luck to you all!

I wondered that also but I didn't ask. I assumed it would have to be in person at the clarkston campus and I take classes at the newton, so instead of making a trip I just mailed it.

Thanks! Yeah ill just turn in everything in person. Where did you take your passport photo?...CVS? im very excited to begin this journey. Finally I see the light, soon no more pre-reqs lol. Have you taken the research class yet?

Is anyone concerned about finding a job afterwards since BSN is appearing to be the preference for hospital jobs?

I got mine done at Walgreen's. it was 10.99 I believe, I don't know if it was the cheapest place but I was too excited to get everything in I just went with it lol and no I haven't taken research yet, I saved it and phed for this summer and I will be done :)

And yes I have been worried also about finding a job. My plan is to do an online bridge program after I graduate from gpc, but I really hope I can work during that time.

lol and 10.99 isnt too bad so thats good. and my plan is to bridge and work as well if I decide to attend.

So happy for all of us. I hope those who applied will be accepted. I plan to get my photo today and then pay my fee and take the survery. I wish I knew what book(s) we will need for the first semester as I would like to start reading now! I like to be ahead of the game since this will be a new chapter for us all! Very excited and scared at the same time! =) We can do this together!

I already ordered the recommended reading off Amazon. It was only 4 dollars after shipping for a used copy! So I will start reading that soon :) I'm very excited as well but extremely nervous. I know it's going to be hard, I'm so happy that we have this site to look at and have each others support. If anyone is planning on taking the CPR class soon I thought it would be a great idea to do it together as a way to meet each other :)

For anyone who hasn't had their passport photo taken yet, if you go to FedEx/Kinkos, do not wear a white top! I had to go get my black jacket out of the car as the white shirt I had on will cause the photo to 'white out' per the FedEx guy. He also told me not to smile?! WHAT....another crazy passport point from him. Anywho...Glad I had that jacket in the car! Now just to mail it all in the AM.

I received my letter a couple weeks ago. I'm going to reserve my spot, but I'm holding out for my first choice. It still feels good to have half of the anxiety gone. Congratulations ladies!
