GPC Fall 2013 letters

U.S.A. Georgia

I can't believe it. I have read in the past I wouldn't hear until the end of March or April to know if I was accepted. To my very happy surprise, I got my letter in the mail today! Let the games begin.....anyone else here from GPC? Good luck to you all!

Have any of you turned in your medical forms yet? I was wondering if we could email them as an attachment or do we need to send them by mail

Where did you find the flu shot?

Thank you!

I haven't got that one yet. On the form it said students must have it by September 15 so I assumed you can get that one later. Im also missing the 3rd hep B but im not able to get that until October because of the time. I sent an email with copies attached but she emailed back and said she needs the originals so I mailed them today.

It looks like I'm in the same situation - approaching maximum time frame. What do I need to do to change my major? Can I do it online or should I to the campus and talk to an adviser?

Thank you!

The financial aid lady emailed me an attachment of the form and I printed it and mailed it in. I will probably call tomorrow or Monday to make sure they received it. I would suggest either calling/emailing financial aid or just going to the campus. Im really nervous though because im still not sure how its going to play out.

Aelmo14,

Do you remember the name of the form? I printed out the form online for appealing your financial aid, but it says to have a study advisement form completed and signed by your academic counselor (don't even know who that is....maybe Renee?). Thanks for you help. I really would like to have the financial aid so that isn't another stress on my family.

Its called a change of major form. I'm hoping that works but so far I don't see a change on my account. What is an appeal and how does it work?

I needed to be advised in order to change my major and it takes an entire semester to go thru once u have missed the deadline for that current semester which is usually in the first week or so. Never understood why it takes so long. Makes no sense to me but hey who am I lol

I took my pre-reqs at GPC and you are correct about form taking a semester to go thru BUT if you go down to the campus and explain your situation someone can help you. Mine was changed within 3 days because I told them it was urgent. and yes, I did it after the deadline. Good luck!

I talked to the school today and they said that the major change forms will be processed on the 8th for fall semester if anyone else needs to get theirs in!

Good news!!! :)

aelmo14,

Where did you get a change of major form? I have a feeling I won't be able to get this done by tomorrow. I may have to drive down to the Clarkston campus....or, can you do it at any campus (I am closer to Dunwoody)? I printed out the appeal form from online. I think you have to use this after a change of major...it is all kinda confusing. I will be on the phone in the am with someone from financial aid. Is the change of major form to change to nursing instead of pre-nursing? Trying to get as many answers as possible before I start burning up the phone lines tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
