I took my NCLEX this AM @ 9, I was so dissapointed when it did not shut off at 75, I thought well, maybe it will soon, I was tortured after that, the questions got harder around 150 and at that point I felt like an idiot, I did not know whether I was coming or going, I finally started fading off into lala land, I asked myself (in my head of course) what is wrong with you?:smackingf this is the most imp test of my life and I could not focus, that was around 198, I finally started looking at the answers and saying yep thats it. I ended up in major pain from sitting in that chair for four hours, plus I was froze to death, and I was mad:angryfire because I had to do all those questions, instead of just 75 like a lot of people.
I then walked out of there after my 265 questions, and told my husband it would be a miracle if I passed that. Only god could do that.
Now I have to wait two days, can anyone reply to my post and tell me if they had 265 also this week and how they felt? I would appreciate it, I have read almost every post on here about the NCLEX exams and the ones that got the full amount of ?'s.
Thanks

I took the Nclex this week. I had 265 questions. It took 5 hours. I took one 5 minute break. I did NOT get the last one right. And yes, I PASSED!!!!
Just relax. I know easier said than done. If you go to 265, than the machine doesn't judge you if it is 95% sure you are competent. If you go to 265 then it looks at your last 60 and see if the ones you got right were generally at or above competency level.

Ruby and others that got 265 questions,
I know exactly how all of u feel!!!!
I went into the NCLEX exam on Nov 17th feeling pretty positive and prepared. When question 75 came and went, then question 100, 150, 200!!!, 250, 265!!!, I was freaking out internally, but forced myself to focus and take my time answering each and every question presented to me to the best of my ability. I left the test center feeling TOTALLY deflated, almost physically ill.
I've had a long and varied educational career, I've taken a LOT of exams, but I've never left a test not having any idea whatsoever as to how i did!!! I thought for sure I had failed after getting all 265 questions, and with my future riding on the results of this one exam, well, it was THE MOST STRESSFUL 48hrs waiting for a little 4-letter word-PASS- I have EVER experienced. Since learning I did indeed PASS the NCLEX, I've felt ecstatic and completely DRAINED at the same time. When you think about how hard, and how long, and how many sacrifices each of us has to make to get to this point, well, it's pretty remarkable to finally be able to say you're an R.N. Congrats to all who passed, and to those who got the other 4 letter word, don't give up, you can do it!!! I'm sooooo very thankful this Thanksgiving!!

I took the NCLEX-RN in April and I got all 265 questions and I failed. I was so upset and I tried to figure out why it happened. I studied a few times a week for a couple hours a day and when I look back now I definitly wasn't putting as much time into studying as I needed to.
After that I took a break for a couple weeks just to clear my head and then I got right back into studying again. The first time I basically just studied the Saunders Nclex cd and the second time I studied so many different things so I could learn more that way. I studied the Nclex Rn for dummies which sounds funny but it was actually pretty helpful and I read the whole 300 something page book so I wouldn't miss a thing. I also studied prioritizing, delegation, and assignment book which was helpful too. There were other books here and there that I looked over and I also studied the Saunders cd again and this time I studied every day for a month for an average of four hours a day....sometimes more. I felt so much more confident this time around and when I went to sit for boards yesterday I got ALL 265 questions again....
I thought I failed because when I looked on the Ohio Board of Nursing website my license number wasn't on there yet. They say to give them until 5 pm. that day to post but usually everyone hears something by the afternoon so I was crying and I was so upset and my family and I were convinced I failed. Then my work called three hours later and Congratulated me and I looked on the website and it said I PASSED!!!!!!!!!
I'm writing you all this because I was one of many people out there that look on this website for advice and I want everyone to know that you can fail with 265 but you can pass with 265 so don't give up.....Keep trying and pray about it everyday because God definitly was with me through all of it. Keep on thinking positive!! You may do better then you think. :)
