Hello my fellow peers of allnurses,
I passed my NCLEX-PN on 10/05/11 and I've spent the last three grueling months job hunting. I've sent out countless resumes with no replies. I've had interviews that would go really well and I'd make it to round two of their interviewing process...only to find I didn't get the job.
On Tuesday I had a job interview. I was trying not to get my hopes up way too high because I've been left with nothing in the past. THEN I GOT THE CALL TODAY! WOOT WOOT!
Now...how did you guys feel after getting your first job? I think I should brush up on some drugs and listen to some breath sounds to review a little since I am a little out of practiced.
Oh, and I go back to school on Monday...I have a few more classes I need to take before I can start the process for applying for a bridge program.
This year is starting off very well for me...I hope this keeps up.

It took me a year to get my first position and I was on cloud nine when I got it. I too thought I should review some stuff but never had any time and you would be surprised how much you remember so if u can, great but don`t stress as you will/should have an orientation....Good luck and congratulations!!!!

CONGRATS !!! I got my first job 2 weeks after graduating LPN school so I know how you feel. I felt ecstatic and eager to learn everything I can about nursing. Where will you be working?
Thank you everyone for your support. It really does mean a lot to me knowing I have a place I can always turn to. Some of my classmates were able to land jobs so much faster than myself. But, they also took their NCLEX in Sept. I am on cloud 9 and finally this is all becoming real. Yes, I've has the LPN title for three months...but I've practiced as one as of yet. I'm so excited! All of my stress, all of my tears, my wanting to jump from the roof if I didn't do well on a test was all worth it!
Thank you Patty~RN for taking the edge off of some of my worries. Remind myself to breathe, go with the flow, take notes, and I'll remember what I am doing. lol
nursedreamjob- I am happy I was able to help and give you a few tips for your NCLEX. You've gotta tell us how it all goes! I'm in your corner sending good vibes your way!!!
Once again, thank you all! ^_^ I go in on Tuesday to fill out the paperwork. Eeeeeee!!!
