It's on a critical care floor...exactly what I wanted. The other floor that had openings is just a basic medsurg floor, so I'm happy with what I got. I feel so lucky because I know so many are having a hard time finding a job. I know this saying sucks, but good things come to those who wait.
Thanks AniraP!
I don't know if I did anything special but dress and act professional, make eye contact with those interviewing you and show up to the interview early! This is such basic stuff, but I really have no other advice. I walked out of the interview feeling confident and they scheduled me for a 2nd interview the following week. I felt even more confident after the 2nd interview! I just answered their questions as best as possible and honestly. I guess the best advice I can give is don't freak out and damn the hospital if you don't hear from them for 3 weeks, lol.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! (And DOUBLY so for not getting basic med-surg. LOL)And THIS student believes you when you say it flies by quickly. I'm amazed at how fast it's flying by.
I'm so beyond thrilled that I won't be on a medsurg floor, lol! Although I would've been happy and wouldn't complain but I want a change because ya know you do so much medsurg for clinical, I want a change. I start orientation tomorrow...woohoo!

I graduated last month...woohoo! Anyway, I finally got the call the other day that I'm hired at the one and only hospital I applied. I was starting to get nervous because it was about 3 weeks since I last heard anything, so I started looking elsewhere. So happy! Orientation starts next week, I can't wait! For those still looking....keep on looking and don't give up, someone will give you a chance! Good luck to all the recent graduates!
