I graduated last month...woohoo! Anyway, I finally got the call the other day that I'm hired at the one and only hospital I applied. I was starting to get nervous because it was about 3 weeks since I last heard anything, so I started looking elsewhere. So happy! Orientation starts next week, I can't wait! For those still looking....keep on looking and don't give up, someone will give you a chance! Good luck to all the recent graduates!

Congrats! IIRC, you're in CA... do you have an interim permit or something? Or did you already manage to get the NCLEX done since graduation? I'm in CA and will graduate in December and am wondering how quickly I can get to work.
Also, what's the excitement over critical care? Aren't they just higher acuity med-surg type patients? We only do med-surg clinicals with "sneak peeks" of other areas so I have no idea.
