It's been interesting and eye-opening to participate here. But, I don't even know how to access the email I opened this account with. I haven't used it in years.
I still check in, but this site is not as busy or lively as it used to be. Since I got into the school nurse substituting gig, I joined a Facebook school nurse page that is very active, and you can switch to an anonymous mode if you feel like that would be wiser. I've learned a lot there, just like I learned a lot here.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year! Farewell Allnurses, it's been a good ride!

I just saw this trending as well. I've been checking in infrequently, too. I still get email notices for long-running threads, which is why I saw your post. I always read posts from you and some of the other very crusties replying here.
A few weeks ago I realized I crossed the 20 year membership mark last June (eek).... I wasn't sure if I should stop posting or write a retrospective which would absolutely be about people, not the practical or procedural aspects of this career, although that is what brought me here in the first place.
I'm still fuming that during one of the overhauls they deleted all my "likes". Anyway, all the best to you, Emergent!

Yes, me as well. I also used to like that you could put a laughing emoji which was positive but sometimes gave a better understanding of what you were trying to say. (Other emojis were available).
I tend to follow a couple of threads and when someone posts to them it comes up in my email on my phone and curiosity/nosiness gets the better of me and I have to look. Plus I do love a good political argument.
So from Bonnie Scotland; Have a Good New Year and I hope 2026 brings some peace and happiness. "A guid New Year to ane an aw" and "Lang may yer lum reek".

I'm thinking that if you're already logged in on your computer, nothing needs to be done. However, if you log in from another device, the email log in will be necessary.
Does this mean, Emergent, that you will continue to visit?
I've stayed logged in. I'm going to log out and see what happens.
Nothing happened. I logged in with my username and not my email.
I'm going to log out and erase my history and see what happens.
Again, nothing happened and I logged in the old fashioned by with my username and not the email. Even if I had to use my email, that wouldn't be a huge deal to log in that way once as long as future visits remembered me and I didn't have to log in each and every time.
@sirI. I see you down there. What you say?

Yes, I'm still logged in computer and out of android phone. I'll just keep it that way for now. Looking on the bright side of life, at least (whispering) Joe V. has not gone the mandatory 2-step verification route when the site (not allnurses) itself is not all that bulletproof. Yes, I get cranky when I look for my password, having hid it from myself or coded it or something, am unable to find it, finally give up and reset the password, and now you want to send a code to my phone? arrggghhh

I too am finding myself here less and less. Some of the changes have bummed me out and I agree , the fun gets shut down far too often. But I will miss interacting with you guys that's for sure.
