These aren't all novels... But three books that come to mind that I loved are:
emergency! True stories from the nation's ERs by mark brown, md
on call by Emily transue
critical care: a new nurse faces death, life and everything between by Theresa brown
if there are any more books you didn't list that you would recommend let me know as I love to read nurse novels as well!

Thanks a lot for the suggestions, I have some I didnt mention, I'll let u know when I go through my stash
"The Nurses: A year of Secrets, Drama, and Miracles with the Heroes of the Hospital" By Alexander Robbins
I second this! I read this book last month and it was very well written. I have read Robbins' previous work (about sororities and high school over achievers) and really enjoy her books.
Tilda Shalof is okay too, although I just read her book The Making of a Nurse and it was very boring. It took me longer to get through because it was a repeat of her previous books.
Also, look up Kaplan Voices books; they are a series that cover different types of nursing. I bought them off Amazon and thought they were a good nursing read.
Critical Care by Richard Dooling...the main character is a MD resident, but nurses are part of the story. It is a very realistic portrait of ICU/CCU patients, morbidly funny. Be careful if you order it. I lost my copy, ordered what I thought was it and received a text book about Critical Care!
And I second The House of God.

I enjoy ready nurse novels especially ones with a focus on Critical care, ER, ICU, flight nursing, etc. I have all of the Echo Heron books, Trauma Junkie, Life Star 1, Operation Flight Nurse, Dr. Robert Leslie books, any suggestions outside of those would be greatly appreciated
