My 2 are 2 years apart (25 months) and the first year was REALLY difficult. It was like having two babies. I didn't want to do that again! They are super close now and that is awesome. I am pregnant again, but there will be a 3 year age difference between the two youngest. I am hoping this is easier!

I'm 19 right now but I'll be graduating next year with my Associates RN next year when I'm 20. But im the youngest in my program and the ages vary greatly.

That's too funny, Gooey, I was thinking all day about how nice it was that my kids were babies at the same time (sort of, not like twins, but their babihoods overlapped a lot) and shuddered at the thought of so many more years of diapers and naps and trying to watch the older kids concerts and ball games and lego peices with an infant/toddler round. I'm glad that people aren't all the same, it just tickled my funnybone that we see the same situation so exactly opposite.
To answer the op I think somewhere between 45 and 50 is the best time to graduate. If I had graduated before raising my family, I'd almost have to start over with school anyway because of such a long gap of not using the license.

I'll be 35 when I graduate. I probably should have waited a few years so all of my kids would be in school, but I want to do it now.
I was in college when I met my husband. He wanted to move out of state for school and I dropped out and went with him. I wanted to finish school, but I needed to work while he finished. Then, I went back to school for a little bit, but decided to drop out again to have kids. My parents were disappointed both times, but it worked out perfectly in my opinion. NOTHING comes before family.
When I graduate two of my kids will be in public school and one in full time preschool. It's the perfect time to go back to work!
So many moms that are older than me are just now starting their families. I feel so lucky to be done and start the next phase of my life. It all depends on the person. If I hadn't met my husband I would have graduated at 22, but who knows when I would have gotten married and had kids.

Oh goodness, my mother is close to 60 and currently getting her doctorate, so 22-24 is really just the beginning!! You can learn forever, in the classroom and through life experiences, it is all a part of the journey. On a personal note, I am 34 and went back to school several years ago and I am so thankful I waited. When I was 18, school seemed nice but what I absorbed was next to nothing but now I love learning. I love being in school. I absorb everything like a sponge and as an adult student I am driven, determined, and focused to continue my education forever. If you are to become a nurse it seems critical to be constantly researching to keep your skills current. So, NO AGE IS GOOD TO BE DONE!! :)

The only age that is too old to be done with school is DEAD. In nursing, like anything else, especially jobs that require use of your brain, you should never stop learning. When you have finally decided that you have learned as much as you could possibly learn, that is the day that you should quit and retire. I will be approximately 40 years old when I'm finished with nursing school, but I do not intend to quit learning until well, I have died.
