Golden West College Spring 2020

Hi everyone, I am new to this site. I was wondering if any pre-nursing students will be applying to the Golden West College ADN program this June for Spring 2020. If so, can you please share your experience as well as how many points you are applying with? Hope to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys!

I applied with 91 points and accepted. I’m still waiting for Rio Hondo, Cypress, LBCC, and Saddleback all with really good chances. I know I have to respond by 10/4.

What are your opinions on Saddleback vs GWC.

The research I’ve done, they are SO similar In retentions, passing rates, where they are ranked in the US and in CA. I am so very grateful I was accepted! I just want to think about my future. I don’t want to be passed up on a job because of the school I went to.

I have the same concern, but the other school I want is Harbor City College or El Camino

My boyfriend is a college professor at El Camino! We met with the Dean and he said I could apply and attend on the basis that I don’t take any of my boyfriends classes. But I didn’t apply because I didn’t take the 2 required courses only offered at El Co to be eligible to apply.

But it is my fall back plan

Those 2 extra courses are pretty easy, but now wasn’t a point taken them if I accept GWC

Oh dear, I'm so sorry. I have no idea what the deciding factor was. This was my first time applying to any nursing programs. Maybe I miscalculated my points.

Just got my letter and I got accepted! I had 83 points if I remember correctly! I can’t wait to meet everyone, I’m so excited to meet all of you guys!?
