Hi all! I wanted to start a new thread for those of us who are planning to apply for GWC ADN Program for Fall 2021. I thought we could post any questions, help, or updates.
I will be applying with either 82 or 87 points depending on my TEAS score. Right now I'm hovering in the mid 80s for practice exams, but hoping I can still land in the 90s.
It looks like last semester was really competitive so it's making me nervous.

How did you end up with 97 points? Don’t you miss 5 points for having an 80% TEAS score, so the maximum would be 95 points?

My job duties are all over the map, but definitely include transporting patients in a wheelchair, calling in meds, explain/answer questions about their surgery... I have also worked in pharmacy and have my pharmacy license, but I don't think they accept that.
I have volunteer experience too, but its "too old". Which is sad. I guess all memories get deleted from our mind after 3 years ?
I'm thinking they may give me 5 points for work experience... making my point total 76.
Ugh all this waiting is so gut wrenching.
I’m a dialysis tech. My job includes monitoring vitals, initiate and terminate treatment, calculate fluids, administering meds, ambulation, etc. I had my boss write that my job is direct patient care and all the examples of it. So hopefully I get the full 10 points.
I have a BS degree , 80.6% in TEAS , I also completed the math and critical thinking. The computer added the points for me on the application so I’m not sure. I also have work experience in healthcare .

It gave you an extra 10 points for the bio classes: the maximum is 35 based on the multi criteria guidelines (assuming you had a 4.0)

I believe it would but I would reach out to the nursing department.
@seven-upI would email the department and check, but I think it does, since it may involve patient care as you are monitoring their EKG. I would list it as "other relevant certifications or licenses."
I just received my TEAS score. 90.7%. I'm ecstatic and that puts my points at 87. Good luck everyone!
