Golden West College ADN Fall 2021

Updated:   Published

Hi all! I wanted to start a new thread for those of us who are planning to apply for GWC ADN Program for Fall 2021. I thought we could post any questions, help, or updates.

I will be applying with either 82 or 87 points depending on my TEAS score. Right now I'm hovering in the mid 80s for practice exams, but hoping I can still land in the 90s.

It looks like last semester was really competitive so it's making me nervous.

hello! commenting to stay updated and good luck to everyone who applied! fingers crossed!

Hi everyone! I just applied and turned in my application with 79 points! What are my chances? haha. Quick question, did anyone highlight the 6 required courses/degree earned on their transcript before submitting? Im not sure if it matters since on the application it did not specify but when you read the "fill out the application" on the website, it does state that... Will my application be ineligible then?! ? It's really eating me away ughhh. Goodluck to everyone!!

Wow ! I didn’t highlight my transcripts. I hope this don’t disqualify us.  SMH

Hi everyone!

In GWC Nursing Criterias, I see that they will give 5 points for license. But I see in the result boxes, they added the points for me without counting my CNA license. Do you guys think they will give points after they look up the copy of my license? My points were so low if they did not count my CNA license.

It might be too late if u didn't submit proof  of your CNA license with application

How did you end up with 97 points? Don’t you miss 5 points for having an 80% TEAS score, so the maximum would be 95 points?

Yeah should be less since 5 points is included for military vet.

@pandabear1010 I didn’t highlight it either since in the actual application it did not state that.

edit to add: I just sent them an email regarding this, and if we are able to amend our applications if we had to have highlighted them.

The application erroneously added 10 points to the total. The email for submission stated that submitted scores may change when evaluated, so maybe they will adjust it.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew if we had to send the official TEAS Report from ATI to golden west as part of our initial application process, or if that was just upon request?

Yeah maybe,  since its covid and everything the application process changed! By the way only one person is working on the applications since the other staff from the school retired.

thank you for your reply but I just checked the Golden West website and it says to not request official copies yet at this time
