Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~

Good job! Ctine05 and NanaVana passed. I don't test until Tuesday afternoon.

Great Job guys! and Good luck mom!!:)

See! That's what spending all that time in the lab practicing will do for you! :):) Good Job! Good Luck to those who still need to do it!

I wish that I had time to get to the lab to practice. my home is my lab..and my family members are my guinea pigs. They are good sports.:lol2:

Hi everyone! How is everyone doing? I hope you all are having fun with your first semester of nursing!! I'm so happy for all of you! I'm sorry I was unable to attend the program, but luckily I was accepted into the College of New Rochelle for the spring 2012 semester, just waiting on financial aid to see what they can do for me! Wish me luck!! Good luck to all of you as well! :D

You too Danni!

Good luck! :)

What's going on, so many people failing and leaving is so disheartening. I wonder, too, when it will be my turn. Am I just wasting time? Will it be my turn 2nd semester, 3rd, 4th? Do I waste my time trying? EVERYONE is giving all their time and effort and still failing. SMART people, DEDICATED people. I'm one of them. Am I next?

momtofore, are they really really DEDICATED AND SMART or are they just good at pretending they are? It sounds like you are doing everything you should, keep a positive attitude about school and you will make it. Nursing school is hard and there is soooo much to learn. If this is really your passion in life you will make it as a nurse and will be a very good one. Keep up the good work.:yeah:

I don't know what to do, all I ever do is spend all my time studying and doing my school work..and I still have problems getting a decent grade on a test..I haven't even started on any school work this weekend because I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time..I mean am I wasting my time?If If I'm barely making it through this semester how would I ever make it another 3 semesters....I'm so lost on what to do:(....

ctine05,

Talk to the instructors let me know what the issue is with test taking and see if you can take the test away from the others. A little trick I learned: after 30-60 minutes of studying 1 topic (nursing), stop walk around, get something to drink, then...this is really important....study SOMETHING ELSE not related to nursing. After about an hour get up walk around, etc then go back to nursing. Concentrating all of my energy on nursing made me crazy and I wasn't absorbing anything. NO I don't think you are wasting your time. Like I told momtofore keep a positive attitude, and if this is what you really want, you will make it.

momtofore & ctine05, what is going on????
