Hi everyone!
Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~
Like crap...I didn't do as well as I expectedI knew the material...as I sit here and stew about it, I know exactly which questions I got wrong...I know the material...I just choked...I never had test axiety in my life before yesterday...now I know what it is like...my brain just felt cluttered...I had so much information swirling around but I couldn't access it when I needed it. I don't know, I am sure they have some kind of seminar etc. on test anxiety on campus...I just usually ignore stuff like that because it never affected me.
T.A. affected me as well, extremely affected me. Frozen #2 pencils; unable to circle any answers on the answer key; mind going completely blank; heart palpitations; sweating like a criminal under a heat lamp.
Let me know if you want some pointers . . PM me if so.

I hate you
. About what I expected after 'studying', better than I expected after walking out, lol. 83.8. I knew you'd do well! Congratulations!
Sorry to hear that, nurse2b2013. I hope you find some anxiety-relieving techniques before the next one, especially having felt you knew the material!
There were definitely chapters I was not confident about, having not thoroughly reviewed. I've started the new reading. My day is pretty full of school stuff, but I'll fit in what I can and get back to it tomorrow. All day. All night. It's fun, lol!
