Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~

I was also unsure if we were told who our faculty contact was.There was so much information given to us that I could not remember if they went over that.

I printed out all the papers in the clinical tool folder, I think that's what they're referring to.

Thanks that's what I figured. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing a folder somehow. I know they didn't tell me who mine is, but I could have sworn that on the first day, they told us we would find out who our contact was...but I could have interpreted something wrong. It was so much information along with filling out things and signing up for programs that I only half listened to some of the content. I don't know if it's just me but I have such a hard time absorbing the content of what someone is saying when I am filling out paperwork. haha I either write down something that they are saying or I completely block out what they are saying so I can make sure my name is on the right line. LOL :lol2:

Hey did you ever find out who your faculty contact was? I didn't and I am not sure if I missed something somewhere...I thought they said we would find out during orientation. Anyway, I was looking at the letter to students and it says to print out all items in the clinical folder. I am not sure what folder that is. The only folder that uses the word "clinical" is clinical tools....is that what they are talking about?

Haven't been to one yet but I am excited to get started! We have plenty of work to get done before class though! :)

Does anyone know if the post tests on evolve count against us?

I think they do and they don't according to my half listening half filling forms comprehension. To my knowledge, it is more a learning tool than anything else but they do look at what you got and if you consistently get really low grades on the post tests and exams then they assume that you aren't really paying attention to the material. I am not sure what they would do at that point but I would assume it would have to do with making you re-do the module....again I was only half listening but if someone else could confirm that then there is probably a good chance that I am correct.

Yea I was thinking the same thing.I think they are used to help you.I did the post tests for module 1, but I didn't do too well with a few of them, I knew all the information I just found some of the questions to be confusing with having to select more than one answer.It says that you get an unlimited amount of tries on the post tests, so I'm going to review them all before I take the exam.

I did module 1 and took the module 1 final. But I am unsure of what we have to print. I printed the actual results from the final (which is every question printed with it). Is that it or is there another report?

I was also unsure of what to print. I didn't do the exam for module 1 yet, but I did module 2 and I didn't know what to print for the post tests?I feel like I payed close attention to the things they were telling us I just can't remember some things. :smackingf lol

I'm also having the same problem. I can't remember how we're supposed to print these "tickets".:confused:
