Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

I also applied for financial aid, But haven't heard if I've been approved for that yet.How do you know you were denied?I did receive a Student Eligibility Notice the other day in the mail regarding grants and scholarships, but I haven't been told whether or not I'm getting one.I tried calling the number on the grant paper, but it was busy and I also emailed them but haven't heard back from them yet.I'm so confused lol.

I got that same letter in the mail that asked me for more information ..... so then i just got another letter today and they said i was denied for that grant. I'm assuming it's for something seperate than the federal financial aid like a pell grant. Hopefully, it is or I'm pretty much screwed. :uhoh3: I believe the deadline for FAFSA is june 1st..... so maybe they'll process it by then. I just hope they give me at least something, otherwise I don't know how I'm going to come up with the money before August......

I just ordered my shoes online from zappos.com (free shipping which was nice) They were black sketcher sneakers with velcro. I figured the velcro doesn't look too lame and plus I won't need to worry about my shoes coming untied

hi guys!

ctine05 i'm coming to cpr on tuesday night!

well, sjerseygrle and dannipoint, how do you feel about moving to june 3 or sometime during that week? so far it's just we three and we have weddings and other plans to move around. would a weds or thurs night be better for everybody? i have no problem moving to that week.

if i get a chance i'll send new msgs out to everyone. about 5 people replied that couldn't make it and it would be awesome if we can find a date that works.

feel free, please, to tell me what dates would work better for you!!

my shoes came in at footlocker today. i'll head up there tomorrow to get them. going over to have my second mantoux read now. lucky me, i got to have two done, lol.

did anybody write or call to find out about the extra pockets on the scrub shirt yet? we have one vote for ok and one vote for not!

Most likely, if you were denied a Federal Grant (those letters went out already) they will offer you secured and unsecured loans for your tuition.

I wanted to cry yesterday. I packed up my cranky daughter and took 2 packages to GCC - the health packet and my financial aid additional info stuff. First, financial aid said they needed my Additional Child tax credit schedule (which, by the by is the STUPIDEST schedule on the face of the earth. Very frustrating, since the schedule does not reveal anything you can't find in the return itself. Fail one.

The I went to allied health and turned in my packet. She checked it and told me it was not complete - I needed to have copies of the lab slips my doctor got WITH his signature. Turns out, when I went to pick up the stuff at the doctors they forgot to give that part to me. Fail two of two.

UGGHHH. I got a mortgage for less aggravation than this!

I freely admit to having a meltdown on the phone with hubby. I will try again on Tuesday. Luckily, work was even more horrible so I finally got to the point last night when I just had to laugh at how horrible my day was.

I am on the board of a nonprofit and we are having a huge event in June and it's all closing in lol.

I wish y'all have some perfect paperwork.

Ctine05, i bought all the books since it's probably beneficial to have them for dosage calculations and care plans. I also got the how to survive nursing school and planner book..... i bought all the books online.... except the nursing skills version 2.0 i bought that from the bookstore, i just have to pick it up which i'll probably do on monday.
As for the shoes, i didn't get mine yet but i will probably go with black sneakers preferably sketchers. Zappos has pretty good ones.

Okay cool, yea I'm buying all the books they recommended because I want to have as much information as possible lol.The books that they require do they all need to be brand new?

I have a pair of black reeboks that I was just going to use, their pretty new.

Thanks, my CPR class is on tuesday night though lol.

Those dates will work for me, I think a Wed of Thurs is better because I usually have plans on Fridays.

I signed up for the CPR class at the Continuing Education Center through GCC.

momtofore, i am flexible anytime before june 13th.... then after that date i won't be around until end of august for orientation. so whatever date is fine with me. you name it i'll be there :)
